3. this is it, this is showing what we want to see. . . |
|
only 28% of Americans think Bush did all he could while 67% think he could have done more. And contrary to Olberman's poll last night, only 53% of republicans think he did all he could have and 40% of republicans think he could have done more.
For independents it is also good news: 25% think Bush did all he could while a full 71% think he could have done more.
Since only 30% of the country are republicans if the GOP loses independents....party's over...pun intended.
The bad news: only 25% of all Americans think this is related to global warming. We got work to do.

5. Only 46% of Whites say they're angry.... |
|
Half of those polled (50%) say they have felt angry because of what happened in areas hard hit by the hurricane. But overall opinion on this measure obscures a substantial racial divide in reactions to the disaster – as many as 70% of African Americans say they have felt angry, compared with 46% of whites. Blacks are twice as likely as whites to know people directly affected by the hurricane and are generally much more critical of the government’s response to the crisis.

8. Well, that's a relief. |
|
What was with that poll that was all over the news yesterday (everyone from Bill Schneider to Keith Olbermann was using it), showing most people didn't blame Bush? I swear, I was ready to give up at that point.
I feel much better now.

9. Hopefully this will start getting the Black community back into |
|
politics. They were wandering away hopeless and I don't blame them. It is from their community that this country was ever set on it's ear 40 years ago and I've always said it's going to take this community to get angry again to ever rescue us from this right wing horde. When I see 71% angry, I'm glad to see it. This could stir up some real political action that these winger bastards don't want to see.
