Ironic Fact - Other Countries Get Real News & Photos --Not US
England, France, etc. are reporting real facts with photographs of the situation on the ground in New Orleans. In some cases, they came to America, brought their own boat, and sent in their own reporters, while our MSM reporters accept the Official Bush limitation on photos and information suppression.

I thought we taught the rest of the world about what it meant to be free, and have a free press.

Sheesh.

2. As long as we are on this website, FOP in US is NOT DEAD
Corporate bias has killed freedom of the press in the mainstream media. However, it is a new century, and the time is ripe for change. The "Old Media" is dead, this is the NEW MEDIA and we are all members. The internet has given thousands of Americans a voice that has never existed throughout American History. Just imagine the possibilities. Instant communication, unlimited ability to organize protest. If the government slips we must be here to report it. The corporations think they have the media held down, but history has shown they lack the foresight to see current trends. That is why we must spread the word, that we must all become journalists, and do our patriotic duty to spread truth and common sense in a world where unreality abounds.

5. I completely agree with that
Just saw an in deep report about flooded people in NO.

Saw a report over the French Red Cross team and people thanking them.
But they did precise that their skills weren't used, they just delivered food packages and were about to be sent to Arkansas.

the other day I saw a report where a nurse bashed the administration at the Astrodome for not providing help when people where dying for the lack of medecines. The nurses bought the medecines out of their own pocket !

And the worse is that I read a report from a French evacuee at the Superdome telling they had to stand in line 24 hours to get out. When they got out NG were laughing at them and threw water bottles in the crowd as if they were pitching baseball. One black woman got a bottle in the head and passed out.
