Be sure to send Jack emails - caffertyfile@cnn.com
recent question was, what will the impact of this be on the 06 elecitons?

here is what I sent -

Hi, Jack -

First, it is entirely appropriate for the Dem leaders to say what they are saying, because this is not a snapshot in time - we cannot stop time and other disasters are possible - terrorist attacks, storms, etc. Those currently in power obviously are not prepared, so heads need to roll immediately or else we will go from bad to far worse. The current administration has only taken us backwards - many of them need to go. And isn't it interesting that the blame game talking point is just what they are doing - blaming things on the locals, as they themselves cry out to not blame....blatant right wing hypocrisy, which has become a sport of late.

So - I hope and pray that the result for the 06 election is sweeping out the corrupt, lying, ineffective republicans. the Dems are not perfect, of course I realize that - but at this point it is the lesser of evils. And, make no mistake, what we are under is evil. I applaud the new found spine and courage of the media to call it right for a change!

1. Here's mine - "Criticism" IS NOT the problem here...
Thank you for your continued coverage of Hurricane Katrina. There is nothing more important to me right now. I must say that there is alot of talk about "criticism" of the President and frankly I am baffled by the anti-critics. The President of the United States failed to act like a President and he failed to act like a human! Where was his sense of urgency? His concern? His compassion? His angst? I saw none of that in Bush. This is a colossal failure of the Federal Government. The man-made disaster of a response that followed the natural disaster exacerbated the situation. American citizens died from lack of water and medical care while other citizens suffered needlessly because of Bush's failure. IT IS INEXCUSABLE! Criticism is warranted now. Criticism IS NOT the problem here. Accountability and responsibility are the issue. Everyone but Bush and his allies can see this colossal failure. GOP Party loyalty is loyal unto death, the deaths of others not themselves. That is disgraceful. This is not a game. Americans died because the President of the United States failed to follow his own law and his own procedure. It’s serious.
