How the Upper Class is reacting so far....
So far - people in my area seem to only be concerned about the $$ aspect of this...

There are a lot of Repubs in my area who just vote their pocketbook. It's very sad but very true that many of them are only going to get angry if THEY are affected - especially financially. To be quite honest - I've only heard one Repub. in my area get angry about the people who were killed unneedlessly. It's quite disheartening to me.

Another one of my freeper neighbors is ticked off about the price of gas. The rest seem to be somewhat oblivious.

Down the road - people are going to start talking about the financial aspect of this. What will inevitably be broguht up is -if the levees had been fixed - preventing New Orleans from being flooded - not only would have saved many lives - it would have cost this nation a much, much less in terms of fixing the mess.

I only hope that they realize that Sen. Landrieu and others from Louisiana had been begging for money to fix the levees but had been turned down.

1. If money will get them complaining, then fine.
Keep reminding them that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. It would have been much cheaper to repair the levee than to clean up and rebuild New Orleans. Stress that, if they don't care about the people.

2. ReuKKKEs don't care how many blacks were killed
The Cajuns and elderly people killed are just collateral damage and they can live with that, but let that price of gas go up and there will be hell to pay.

3. The government is bringing the price of gas down to calm the
pocketbook voters.

4. guest of Chuck D's show had a great line ...
I was listening to Chuck D last Sunday night. One of his guests was explaining the two different kinds of reactions to the disaster.

1) truly horrified by the humanitarian disaster
2) "Honey, get the checkbook"

LOL! He was so spot-on!
