Should moveon.org sue USA Today?
Just now on Lou Dobbs it was reported that a reporter from USA Today claimed that moveon.org was going to air advertisement next week against Judge Roberts using photos from the NOLA disaster. In response, a right-wing organization wrote a letter denouncing moveon.org. Moveon.org, in return said that they were planning to air advertisements against Roberts, but were never planning to air NOLA photos.

Lou Dobbs got real condescending and so did the female reporter who gleefully reported the incident. She said that the reporter from USA today stood by his story.

Should Moveon.org sue for libel?

2. Absolutely
Until these assholes start getting called on their lies they'll keep telling them. Kerry should have and still should sue those swift boat fuckers.

4. Nearly impossible to prove
Even a non public figure would have a difficult time winning this case and a public figure is toast. Was going to is a vague hard to pin down concept.

10. Well how about blackballing the reporter. Get his name out there as
being a potential right-wing shill. Anybody catch his name?

12. Sounds like they wrote the letter after the story ran.
But it was a very quick response.

13. The Right Wing organization...
didn't think it was "not yet time to discuss the ad"? They won't discuss anything else prematurely - why this?

Yes, they should sue or at the very least make a big huge stink about it.
