FEMA rep just told me: "They're in a meeting right now" re: pet rescue!
Everbody!
I just talked to the guy at FEMA via the new phone number (202-646-2763) and he said that they are going to be making their decision about whether or not to rescue the pets along with their owners TONIGHT! They are apparently in a meeting RIGHT NOW, and the guy on the phone is taking our phone numbers and names, petition-style, up to the meeting! Keep calling!

2. If you think you're exhausted, imagine how the people in LA feel!
I wish we could help them, too. I'd drive out there myself if my wife wasn't having a baby in 3 weeks.
