I caught both and they were scathing with no let up.
One german guy called this the biggest exercise in futility he'd ever experienced in his career. This guy looked in his late 50's. A lady following him said that FEMA's response has cost lives. Both of these were on NBC.
On edit: Brown will get sacrificed, IMO.

1. Bush is the one who hired Brownie... |
|
Doesn't he bear some responsibility in all this too? Why aren't the press calling Bush out for hiring a failed Arabian Horse Association commissioner?

5. Bush's 1st appt. to direct FEMA, Joe Allbaugh, brought him. |
|
Mike Brown was in big trouble with the Horse Association - about to be fired, but had been telling people that if Bush got elected he would get an important government job. Allbaugh had been Bush's campaign manager, one of the Iron Triangle with Karen Hughes and Karl Rove.

4. Brown: doesn't get fired, but resigns |
|
He won't get fired. He'll resign, claiming that he doesn't want to be a "distraction" for the administration. Chimpy will accept the resignation, praise him for his great service to the nation and take a somewhat veiled shot at those who play the "blame game."
Bet on it. Take it to the bank. Its the way it will go down.

7. I agree, "Brownie" will resign. I'm surprised it hasn't happened yet, |
|
but maybe tomorrow.
RE: the coverage on NBC, did anyone see David Gregory's report saying * wants to appoint a "disaster czar"?
Can someone please explain to me why we need a "disaster czar" when we already have the so-called Dept. of Homeland Security and FEMA.

What the hell, it's a no brainer. Bush and his administration failed America. Again.
