We're gonna win, Bushco is going down |
|
Edited on Fri Sep-09-05 09:01 PM by Melodybe
Tonight's Shelter from the Storm concert confirmed it for me, everything is going just fine.
Everyone knows that Bush should be in jail, the only 2 questions are how long will it take? and how many will have to die before we take them out of power?
But it is gonna happen, I promise you, be optimistic, it will happen.
Bushco CAN go down.
They will go down and we'll put them in jail.
The musicians said nothing about Bush, they all performed from the heart, songs that matter, they won over America with their sad and beautiful songs.
Don't worry you guys, we're gonna win this, on our deathbeds we can all laugh at the downfall of these evil men.
I promise and I love you all.

I know Bush will be very unpopular, but I think he's in there for the next 3.5 years. It's enough for me that people hate him.
I hope he has nightmares about it.

The way of life can be free and beautiful, but we have lost the way. Greed has poisoned men's souls - has barricaded the world with hate - has goose-stepped us into misery and bloodshed. We have developed speed, but we have shut ourselves in. Machinery that gives abundance has left us in want. Our knowledge has made us cynical; our cleverness, hard and unkind. We think too much and feel too little. More than machinery we need humanity. More than cleverness, we need kindness and gentleness. Without these qualities, life will be violent and all will be lost.
By the promise of these things, brutes have risen to power. But they lie! They do not fulfil that promise. They never will! Dictators free themselves but they enslave the people. Now let us fight to fulfil that promise! Let us fight to free the world - to do away with national barriers - to do away with greed, with hate and intolerance. Let us fight for a world of reason - a world where science and progress will lead to all men's happiness. Soldiers, in the name of democracy, let us unite!
The airplane and the radio have brought us closer together. The very nature of these inventions cries out for the goodness in man - cries for universal brotherhood - for the unity of us all. To those who can hear me, I say: 'Do not despair.' The misery that is now upon us is but the passing of greed - the bitterness of men who fear the way of human progress. The hate of men will pass, and dictators die, and the power they took from the people will return to the people. And so long as men die, liberty will never perish.
From the Great Dictator

we must be channeling the same emotions. I started feeling very positive yesterday for some reason, even though I still feel just horrible about things there was that little sneaky feeling that it was going to be OK. There are too many of us who have lived through a lot of this crap before and we were the ones that stopped it before. Tonight just blew me away. Normally I do not get all sappy over pop stars and movie stars but this was just so well done. I had this same feeling once before and it was about the time that the Watergate hearings were getting underway. It feels like a movement, folks WE GOT A MOVEMENT. Work hard. We can do it and we will. There are way more of us than there are them. They have all the big guns but that has never stopped people with a true and right mission.
Tonight I told my husband that if we are not successful at least I knew that I would like the people I would be sharing my prison cell with.

|
Edited on Fri Sep-09-05 09:32 PM by Melodybe
I'm a writer and the highest complement i could possibly give to a famous person is that they were my muse.
We're gonna win, it's gonna be ok.
BTW did I tell you guys I'm gonna be a famous screen writer? It's gonna happen and it will be weird and satisfying all at once. But even though I'm dyslexic and my grammer sux, I'm gonna make a name for myself and ya'll will love the stories I tell.
Things are gonna be just fine, I don;t know what it is but I feel like everything will be ok.

you can do whatever it is that you want to do.
This is not going to be easy but feel good about every hard slog. Every one of them makes the whole thing work. We are just beginning to come together I think and it feels SO GOOD!
I occasionally visit the other sides sites. I think it is really funny how they make fun of this kind of post. It is wonderful to feel this way. It is love, peace, community and those are the things that make life wonderful, they are also very powerful and will be the very things that get us through this.
My name. I picked it out so very long ago. I am quite fond of it myself and it does fit me. I may not be particularly good at any one thing but by riding my muse I have been able to do an awful lot of fun things and do good work. It fits.

32. Isn't it ironic that Rove and company want to just let it (Katrina) be!!! |
|
As far as the aftermath of Katrina is concerned I think "Gimme Shelter" by the Rolling Stones works best. Rove is seeking shelter from the ensuing political storm, the eye of which is Bush's competency level in leading the country.

30. win is a word i wouldn't use...i see this from freepers..wanting to win./. |
|
it depends on what win means...i dont mean to be a downer..but who has won? our nation is in disgrace...how many have died because of the filthy bastards that so many ( stolen elections aside..still alot voted for this sicko!)...there is so much blood that has been shed in our names..Americans...we have lost so much, our pride as humans and Americans, our most courageous..our soldiers who have died for lies...so many innocent..deaths that were senseless, and un- nessesary...
what have we won..a nation that just lost a major city? a country so deep in debt it will take generations to pay off the debt...
we haven't won anything..but we might , and thats a big might , take back our congress and hopefully get this murderer removed from our white house... but the cost of what we have been through in this nation will be enormous for generations...
and we must learn by the mistakes of this generation, that were bullshitted , and manipulated, and propagandized...
when we take this nation back ..the first thing we must do is break up the monopolies of the media..immediately.. and we must never loose sight of our constitution and bill of rights..the second thing nessesary is to abolish the patriot act..and if all dems dont sign on to that we must not make the same mistakes as republicans that put party before constitution..if dems don't do these two things first...then they must be removed immediately
only when we stand as one..and say no more..not in my name and take back our born rights ..will we have won ..what we have already lost!

Folks call me a pessimist, but I feel I'm a realist. Usually, I rely on past info to predict what will happen in the future. So far, Bush has gotten away with EVERYTHING. Will he go down? I hope so, but I'll believe it when I see it.
You optimists be optimistic for all of us, though. It takes all kinds. :)
