Wow! CNN: Sheriff calling for inmate who helped in NOLA to go free
he could have run, but he stayed and helped save people. Sheriff say he should be freed.

We suspend sentences for those that join the military, why not for those that volunteer their efforts where others will not go?

He's a hero who probably made one wrong choice for which he's paying back society.
