...the heart was cut out when the main writer (Aaron Spelling I think) left....when he wrote there was a lightness and mild humor that filled the show with a deep upwelling of, I don't know, hope or somesuch...The single finest episode may have been reached when Sam Seaborn met Leo's daughter...the scene outside the Roosevelt room STILL makes me damn near pee my pants-and I've seen it many times...I'll watch it,I miss it, yet still....

I am not going to the bunker - it was such a slam at the freak in chief - but the first four seasons were fabulous and then five and six have been lacking to me - maybe that's when Sorkin left.

...by the end of the last season they had regained their momentum. The show was different, but entirely as good in writing, acting, and direction as it had been under Sorkin. In fact it was quite remarkable.

Season 5 was lacking but I think season 6 regained the sorkin mometum of the show. I'd love for Leo to be VP!

11. I wouldnt mind Jimmy Smits for President either |
|
But my guess is the writers will give the election to the Repuke.
With apologies to Alan Alda. At least he bears no resemblance to the Chimp.

as a communications director for the Santos (Smits) campaign, I believe. Should be great!
I hear the election of the next president will take place in March, so it'll be lame-duck Bartlett and presidential campaign all year.
