Is it over for bush, how exactly I don't know but it will come |
|
Edited on Fri Sep-09-05 11:53 PM by nadinbrzezinski
So I went to the bookstore mostly looking for a magazine (no dice on that department) and I found a great music concert. Well to my surprise and shock one of the books on the shelf was the Watergate Commission paperback, the full document. People kept pointing to this and then going, they have not learned.
Well as the night proceeded, people started talking a little treason, it felt as if I were in a tea house or the local pub in Massachusetts oh around the 1760s. It was down right energizing to hear people talk a little treason...
Folks this is a REPUBLICAN town and i have never heard people in that kind of a lynching mood and this was ... a republican town... and it is Katrina...
Folks I am not to be hopeful but if a leader steps to the plate the energy is there. We may still see a revolution, keep the powder dry folks.

1. But what about the others |
|
Yeah, it's over for Bush. Everyone sees what an incompetent idiot he is ... but we all know it's the others running the show. I want them ALL out and as far away from "the controls" as possible. Until then, our democracy is not safe.

it may take all the way to 2009, but they have lost control... when you hear perfectly good Middle Class folks who drive SUVs and take their kdis to Soccer practice talk a little treason in between their lattes, you know they lost it.
Now there may be a change trough parlamentary or extra parlamentary means before 2009, but we have said it so many times I am not hoping for that, though the latter may come... I tell ya, I coudl smell the powder burnign tonight, that smell of cordite I could almost smell.

The Neo-Con PNAC agenda must be exposed.
Then, revolution.

6. I've gotten three people to write down PNAC and |
|
promise they would look it up on-line (this week)
People wouldn't listen to this before, or perhaps maybe I've finally learned how to present it without appearing half-baked.
The people are begining to listen more.

What to do about the ones who don't hold positions in the administration? Can't really impeach THEM ... and they'll still be there to regroup and come back again in a few years.

The public has taken him off the pedestal and are starting to look at him as a flawed mortal. Their eyes are open and all the other stuff to come will further drive down their opinion. Is is in the impeachment zone now.

Bush will be here until Jan 2009. Like it or not!
The best we can hope for with a republican congress is to cripple him and the republicans.

but I hope you are familiar with an old military term.. you can only command as long as they follow you. In this case you can only govern as long as they let you. What I heard today was a little treason.. among the types of folks I have never heard talk this way.
Something fundamental has happened, and even if Bush stays "in power" until 2009, he may not fully be in power. I have no idea how but Bush is finished as an effective president, it is over... party is over... you watch...

12. Hey nadin, about that Misery Index... |
|
Don't you think it just leaped a few points over the past week or so? We should be edging pretty close to "riot range" by now.
Wonder how that might play into the weekend of September 23-26 with the peace march on D.C. planned?

He's been losing 13% of the national electorate per year in office since '9/11'.
I don't know what a Democratic Congress is going to do to a President with approval ratings in the mid/low 20s, but my guess is that "butt boy" will begin figuring in the inofficial renderings of his job description.
And the authoritative Presidential biography will be entitled simply: "Hubris".

16. Mike Malloy was talking about them taking away guns in NO |
|
That'll do it for a lot of Red Staters. You wouldn't believe how many guys I talked to during the 2004 election who told me they liked what John Kerry stood for but feared he'd take away their guns. Now you've even got the NRA watching what's going on there and not too pleased.
Hey libertarian gun lovers...WE TOLD YOU SO!!!!!!!!

|
he was gonig over how draconian California is in its gun control laws. So I switched to the Feds, teh REPUBLICAN feds are confiscating guns in Lousiana (even if there may be valid reasons for it and even stated that for I wanted an argument from him), Well he had to go get dinner and go to bed all of a sudden... crickets I tell you.
Oh and for the record we have guns here and our powder is dry... hell we went to the range two days ago, and that damn brass can burn...

20. You are absolutely right, N. |

I hosted a garage sale last weekend with a neighbor. We had lots of people coming and going.
Whenever people stopped, they got out of their cars, looked around a little bit, and then they started talking about Bush. "Can you believe what a jerk?". "What's the matter with him?" "Why is he so incompetent?"
It went on and on like that, all day. Lots of people were furious. They were absolutely appalled at Bush's behavior. It seems like the flooding was all over the news, 24/7. People could not help but be outraged.
We were amazed, but happy. My neighbor has been a lifelong repub, but I finally got him to change his mind.
"I despise Bush" is what he says now.
