'THE BIG BOO' CROWD HISSES KANYE WEST

This shows that a lot of racists are floating around!

'THE BIG BOO' CROWD HISSES KANYE WEST
Fri Sep 09 2005 10:30:28 ET

The chart topping hip hop rapper star who used a network hurricane fundraiser to charge "George Bush doesn't care about black people" was loudly and lustily booed during last night's NFL kickoff show.

The appearance of Kanye West, who was beamed into the Boston stadium via remote from Los Angeles, received a strongly negative response from the crowd.

"The boos were thunderous and lasted for much of his number," reports the BOSTON GLOBE.

NO LA was racist, seems to me that either a lot people are not reading the news or that they disagree that the sham response was not based on race. If it was not based on race, what was the reason for the type of response in New Orleans?

19. I know everyone from Mas like to walk around in liberal halos
but your Governor is a Mormon import from UTAH. Kennedy and Kerry are just old hanger ons. Both faced serious challangers during the 90s. Kennedy nearly lost to the current Governor in 94. Kerry was in trouble with Bill Weld a former Governor of the state in 96. Clinton had to travel to the state to help them get reelected, a place were he had an 80% approval rating . So Mass sometimes is not as liberal paradise it seems. And Boston has a history of racial problems from time to time.

I probably have a too-idealistic view of the area, though, considering I never lived far from the city. A lot of it has to do with history as well, I'm sure.

70. Grew up in an integrated neighborhood. They taught me how to be a racist
In Boston, the only good thing is that many people like me at least ADMIT they are racist now. I took the bias test that was posted here that few people wanted to discuss the results of. My result was "moderately favors white faces" - I was a bit disturbed by the result at first, but then I had to admit to myself that is was probably true. As a child I went to schools in all black neighborhoods in Roxbury - my parents wanted me to have an open-minded view of the world. This was before forced busing mind you. My friends were a mixture of all races back in my mixed neighborhood and at school. There were very few problems until we all hit puberty. Like it or not, peer pressure can be a major influence in ones life as a teenager. On top of that, I could never understand why my black friends started treating me like I was some sort of elitist or something - the comments were awful and they didn't want to hang with me even though I still had an open mind to it :( It was very discouraging. :( I learned to avoid both the angry white & black people. There was also always a battle between the IC's (Irish Catholics) and the black community - these were the parents from a previous generation where prejudice and bigotry were simply an accepted birthright - there was no talking to these people and they certainly had no desire to see things get better - they simply said awful rotten things when racial issues came up. The thing that surprised me the most as I look back was how much the prejudice worked both ways - and how much it had nothing to do with skin color per se, there was a need to be "cool" and accepted by your peers - this seemed to influence people more than anything else. It was almost like is was more of a big deal that you would lose friends and reduce chances with the opposite sex than any real hatred of different races. There were of course many who bucked the trend and dated inter-racially - this would get the ire up of the older folks who really were bigots. Anyway, I clearly can't get into the kind of detail here to cover all the sociological issues involved so don't give me a rash of crap about my language or an issue I only touched on. Whatever you do, don't think that racial issues don't exist in Boston any less than anywhere else. People living next to each other still don't necessarily talk to one another. :(

7. Here is the article
http://www.boston.com/news/globe/living/articles/2005/09/09/nfl_kickoff_show_falls_short_at_gillette/

Yet it was disconcerting to hear his name booed loudly by Patriots fans who evidently didn't appreciate his nationally televised comment the other night on a Hurricane Katrina benefit that President Bush ''doesn't care about black people." The boos were thunderous and lasted for much of his number.

8. This "developing" story from the Boston Globe is a lie/scam...
...and it's been circulating on the internet since the game. THERE IS NO SUCH STORY IN THE BOSTON GLOBE, DEVELOPING OR OTHERWISE.

To those who continue circulating this: fucking give it up, or post over on FreeRepublic where these lame, amateur attempts at "swiftboating" are not just welcome, but part of what they do.

To those who post this inadvertently: do yourself a favour and check your sources next time. You're looking like a fool...

Maroon 5 came off vapidly (doing just one song, ''Harder to Breathe"), while West did one tune, ''Heard 'Em Say." Yet it was disconcerting to hear his name booed loudly by Patriots fans who evidently didn't appreciate his nationally televised comment the other night on a Hurricane Katrina benefit that President Bush ''doesn't care about black people." The boos were thunderous and lasted for much of his number.

Like maddezmom, I ran a search about 12hrs ago while it was "developing", and found nada (yet it was all over the internet, FreeRepublic, etc. as "developing", where I actually saw it first...)

My apologies. Still, it's hardly "nipplegate"...

15. My first post was based on my earlier search at the Globe...
...where I found nothing. And I first saw it as "developing" from FreakRepublic, which rendered it highly suspect...

Still, I don't put a hell of a lot of weight on anything that takes place at a football game, or NASCAR for that matter.

I suppose it is kinda' sad, if one considers booing sheeple "sad", but it's still no "nipplegate". I'll bet Kanye could care less. All things considered, Chris Rock saying "George Bush hates midgets" on TV last night had even more clout.

Only an idiot doesn't see the racism here. Only an idiot would boo someone who is telling the truth.

Repukes are loud and obnoxious and many of them hate people of color. So it's not surprising that a bunch of them showed up at a football game and got drunk and showed their bigoted dumb KKK asses.

West is bigger than all of them put together. I guarantee he is over it by now, and is only laughing at what sorry idiots his detractors are.

Some people see him as a rapper, and therefore as a detriment to society.

Some people despise him because "he gets to say bad things about black people, but whenever a white person does its racism".

Some people hate him because he insulted Bush.

And some people loathe him because he hit the nail right on the head.

Remember when Sinead O'Connor tore the picture of the Pope? On one of her next concert appearances -- a charity concert, as I recall -- she was literally booed off the stage, collapsing in a heap of tears. And everyone heard about it.

If this actually happened, we'd STILL be hearing about it ... but, as I said, this is the first place I've heard of such a reaction.

Edited on Sat Sep-10-05 10:21 AM by cmt928
for their song which contains lyrics about the "neocons"

He gets booed cause he is black and speaks his mind, but Mick Jagger can write and sing and release songs about his thoughts and doesn't get booed ... sorta blurts out RACISM ... why don't these same people take offense at this ...

on edit .. found the info on Stones:

The Rolling Stones are taking aim at elements of the American right with a new song on their upcoming album. The track, "Sweet Neo Con," boasts the line, "You call yourself a Christian, I call you a hypocrite/You call yourself a patriot, well I think you're full of ..." Newsweek reports.

"It is direct," Mick Jagger was quoted as saying, adding that bandmate Keith Richards was "a bit worried" about a backlash because the guitarist lives in the United States and Jagger does not.

The song also includes the line: "It's liberty for all, democracy's our style/Unless you are against us, then it's prison without trial." "It is certainly very critical of certain policies of the administration, but so what! Lots of people are critical," Jagger told TV's "Extra" on Wednesday.

"Sweet Neo Con" is one of 16 tracks featured on the Stones' new album, "A Bigger Bang," which drops in the United States on Sept. 6.

This is the crowd that would say.. "Ain't that the ice cream that's white, brown & pink?"

59. This is Crap
Desntiny's Child was booed at the NBA Finals, Ashleigh Simpson, booed at the Orange Bowl etc.....middle aged white men do not like hiphop. It happens every year, the powers that be put together shows for the tv audience and the crowd in the stands are not fans.

I was at the Orange Bowl a few years ago and Bow Wow played, was not greeted well.

69. Thats a good point.
When the crowd isnt receptive to the artist to begin with, the threshold for booing is pretty low.

socially conservative and radicalized by the guilt of pederast priests so they now over react to the right.

61. Lets see them do that in Oakland.
What a bunch of whiney ass pussed up father rapers.

"Oh I am so offended by the black man, he doesn't realize how hard it is to be middle aged, white, and hav eto beat your wife in order to get any".

Fuck them!

Get over it you racists pig fuckers, at least have the balls to admit that you can't abide by anyone who disagrees with your totalitarian world view and that you indeed do have an agenda for any with opposing views. Which is...

Convert
Incarcerate
Kick Out
Kill.

You have not only insulted about 85% of the players on the field, you give your entire sport a big BLACK eye. The world is watching every little mistake we make as a culture these days and Im sure they noticed your bigotted and beastial mannerisms. I hope that all of you feeel the pain you so happily and hatefully exude, someday.

Disgusting fuckers. Probably get that shit in Tempe tonight. Contempt for truth is appalling, but to be expected from diseased hearts full of hate. I for one will be standing behind my friend Kanye West with my sign made from his quote tonight. "George Bush doesn't care about black people." Kanye West and I'm buying his and the Stones' CD today!

67. I've been to about 100 NFL games. 99.9% of the crowd is white.
It's always pissed me off that 90% of the players are black and the crowd is almost all white.

Doesn't surprise me one bit. Many of those NFL fans are NASCAR fans as well. I'm just sayin'.

Seriously, they hate Boston. They say it is the most bigoted city in the country (including the south and chicago).

Maybe they were covered over by the kids cheering for him.

If so, he did not get flustered.

His performance was great!
