Put right-wing-freak-show 'journalists' under oath... |
|
As an example, before any decent, self respecting, American, subjects themself to an interview (from a right-wing-freak-show participant) have them secure a commitment...
"Before I say a word, are you willing for me to come back and dispute any false assertions you make during or subsequent to this interview?"
"Before I say a word, have you fact-checked any assertion you have made embedded within your following questions?"
Without such a basic commitment to the truth, simply tell them "I'll post my story on the 'internets'!!!

1. Why not insist on some up-front, simple rules like... #1 Don't interrupt! |
|
FUX(ed)NEWS pisses me off when they talk over their guests. Why invite them on a show to just berate them just when they are starting to make sense?
Has anyone noticed that people from dubious backgrounds are on their payroll? (Ollie North leads this particular charge - Iran/contra affair, closely followed by J. Gordan Libby - a convicted Watergate burglar!).
Is FOX News an apologist for all right-wing-freak-show activities within the USA and abroad, past and present?

2. That was the whole point of tossing the FCC's "Fairness Doctrine" |
|
That was one of the "accomplishments" of the Reagan administration, and Those slime-merchants then had a License to Swill (with near-total impunity).

3. One thing that the Dems (liberal talkers) must do |
|
is to take a hint from the ring wing talkers....interrupt!
The GOPer's have become very good in drowning out any thing a lib might be saying, the table should be turned.
Second, we need to come up with a list, much like Newt's GOPAC list, of terms to be used continually.
Third, be willing to make assertions of fact. Why try to explain a complex fact when a simple sound bite will do.
Fourth, talking points need to be stuck to without fail.
Basically, we need to fight fire with fire.
Yea, the right wingers will cry foul, but hey, when the pig squeals you know you're hurting it.
