1. Hell no!
It's also very hard to contemplate the future, if there is one, with this cabal in charge.

It sucks having to live day by day.

4. If I knew then (4 years ago) what I do now, I would have taken my
investments and put them under my mattress!

I jump every time there is a storm warning now. I've taken money out
of the bank because I'm afraid they will collapse. I'm hording food and have all sorts of emergency kits. I feel very threatened by the incompetence of the government. Just because you are paranoid, doesn't mean they are not out to get you.

6. Uh yeah, safer...
...I mean, hell, they found those WMD's in Iraq, caught Bin Laden, did all they could to stop 9/11 from happening, and did SUCH a SUPERB job doing all they could AS FAST as they could helping the Katrina victims...what's not to like? :SARCASM:

Lu Cifer, FUKU to the animal shoots in New Orleans, I only wish they could shoot back. Assholes!

7. Are you kidding? How about going back 5 1/2 years ago, to find
the safety we remember. Oh boy was Bill Clinton a magnificent president by comparison. We could find jobs, we had a surplus, he didn't piss of the entire world, he didn't engage in war for private profit, he didn't rob the poor to give to the rich, he didn't lose billions of dollars like Shrub supposedly just misplaced from the Iraq funds, all the poor man did was get a blow job, and, which man didn't?

Once again, the Bush rule applies. Safe = unsafe.

BTW, Welcome to DU!

12. oh my god no
i've never been more ready to take my children to another country. ever. i actually have never even considered it! but now i am looking into it. we deserve better that what we are getting here.

i have a 15 year old daughter. i do not feel safe for her. i don't believe they will only require males for a draft. she turns 18 about the same day she graduates. hello, new zealand!

my bank account - there ain't much in it. i keep my money at home. if you meant finances in general, i don't think my income is safe. with prices shooting up out of the roof, i don't know how much more i can cut back. gas went down 10 cents yesterday. whoopee! still to high at 3.09. i told my kids i'd like to see it back under a buck. that won't seem too high to me.

my town is safe. this is a great place to hide out.

my nation - not safe. it is clear that we are not prepared for a major disaster.

15. but, but, but 9/11 changed everything
and we all know 9/11 was 100% Clinton's fault because he turned down the Sudan's offer of Osama's head on a platter 3 times while the Clenis was in Monica's mouth... (shhh, don't mention ignoring that 8/6 PDB, allowing the Hart-Rudman report to collect dust, disbanding Able Danger, or neocons blocking the ID'd terrorists ID's from going up the chain, etc, etc)
