Homeland security versus rescuing people - when you make
false security and waving wands and background checks more important than taking care of people and rescuing them - this disaster will repeat itself -

FEMA has to come out from under Homeland Security and we need to get rid of this BS security checks - wand waving and checking backgrounds

They have no clue who is dangerous and who is not even with wands and background checks - hell look who they put in charge of WH and FEMA and all the other organizations we depend on

FEMA has spent most of its time blocking help instead of giving help

Neighbor helping neighbor can happen if you don't have armed military blocking you

1. Big part of the problem
is that FEMA treated this natural disaster like it was a terrorist attack instead of a hurricane.

3. they were waving their wands on people before they could
get on those dam school buses - they had to go without their belongings. It just seemed like the cattle cars of WWII - they had to leave everything and then not even know where they were going

2. You should not militarize the response to a disaster
The Pentagon and HS/FEMA ran a Military Operation, nor a rescue mission.

They forgot that they weren't in downtown Baghdad or Fallujah any more.

They were more concerned with security and protecting property, then they were with feeding people. They did the same exact thing when they invaded Iraq, they protected the oil fields and let everyone else go to hell.

If Blanco had given up control of LA to Bush a week ago last Friday, we would still be handling this like a combat operation and we would be well on our way to a military dictatorship.

4. It was genocide.

FEMA, the other Federal agencies, and the surrounding sheriffs blocked all rescuers and supplies from coming in, and blocked the population from escaping. Clear and simple genocide by laying siege, and by biological and chemical warfare.
