Blowing in the Wind
How many roads must a man walk down
Before you call him a man?
Yes, 'n' how many seas must a white dove sail
Before she sleeps in the sand?
Yes, 'n' how many times must the cannon balls fly
Before they're forever banned?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind,
The answer is blowin' in the wind.

How many times must a man look up
Before he can see the sky?
Yes, 'n' how many ears must one man have
Before he can hear people cry?
Yes, 'n' how many deaths will it take till he knows
That too many people have died?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind,
The answer is blowin' in the wind.

How many years can a mountain exist
Before it's washed to the sea?
Yes, 'n' how many years can some people exist
Before they're allowed to be free?
Yes, 'n' how many times can a man turn his head,
Pretending he just doesn't see?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind,
The answer is blowin' in the wind.

1. Everything you ever wanted to know can be found in rock 'n roll
Someone needs to create a comp of all the old war protest songs and sell it for the benefit of Veterans for Peace.

2. Rock and Roll is my religion.
I believe the muses are still speaking to us through our music.
Those who have ears will hear.

4. The wind howls like a hammer...
The night blows cold and rainy,
My love she's like some raven
At my window with a broken wing.

6. love that song
I was in Jerusalem in '96, drinking a beer at one of those outdoor cafes. Israeli soldiers with machine guns strolling back and forth. There was a girl with a guitar singing for sheckels on the sidewalk. I gave her all my money for "Blowin' in the Wind" and she sang it until I was broke and quite drunk. It was surreal, that song with those guns, in that place.
