George Carlin, Bill Maher, and Jesse Jackson
are true American patriots. There are others, but these three are fresh in my mind.

Anyone who slices into the diseased administration like Carlin and Maher do is a genuine American hero in my book. Anyone who demands accountability like Jesse Jackson does is not only a patriot, but an excellent Democrat, one of the few.

George Carlin doesn't give a flying fuck if it costs him some conservative fans, although I honestly doubt it will in the long run, because even the neocons are starting to see the light about Bush. Carlin would rather speak up for the good of the country than worry about what anyone thinks of him.

Jesse Jackson...When he's on a roll, there are few Democrats as effective as he is. It was no surprise that he was right out there publicly demanding that Bush should insist that his pal Pat Robertson should apologize for calling for the assassination of Venezuela's president. Thank you, Jesse, for always speaking up. You're one of the few who does.

Then there's Maher. The naysayers who say people like him hate America are wrong and they know it, but they like to say it in order to give their own insecure personalities an uplift. It's THEY who hate America if they say bogus things like that. Maher speaks out because someone HAS to, and he doesn't have to lie to get his point across. He's bluntfully truthful, and the truth can really pack a punch. I wish there were more brave Americans just like him. Man, he has guts.

My hat's off to all of them, and anyone else just like them (Cindy Sheehan, of course, too), who have the guts to stand up to Bush for sake of humanity.

1. How did you feel when Maher thought the Iraq War was so good?
Don't get me wrong, I usually watch his show. But he was one of the leading advocates for this war being a good thing.

2. I'd like to add Dean to that list
He tell sit like it is even though he knows Dems will publically distance themselves from him. He sticks to his guns, makes media whores stay on topic, cares about the grassroots and speaks painful truths nobody wants to talk about. Again, he does this knowing full well many Dems will not support him (cause they are spineless cowards terrified of offending the neo-cons who have ruined this country).

5. Dean's an excellent addition
to that list. There are so few Dems who actually speak up and tell it like it is, and he's one of them. Dean pulls few punches.

6. Please can I add Al Gore to the list. He has made some very
important speeches which the MSM has made sure the public knew nothing about. But he is a great American.

8. Oh for sure Gore can be on it.
He's one of my alltime faves when it comes to exposing the other side. I think he was the first one to call Fox News a mouthpiece for rightwing Republicans a long time ago. He was the first one I heard say that, anyhow.

9. Keith Olberman and Jon Stewart...K.O. especially, because he is
restrained by the MSM, and has not yet 'sold his soul'. His ethics are beyond reproach IMHO. And he has more to lose than JS, whom eveyone expects to be critical in a humorous way.
