It disgusts me how well loved and admired I am on Fwee Wepubwik.

They think they're so good at outing trolls.

I've been posting on Fwee Wepubwik for about three years now.

All I do is set them against each other and mislead them into even greater levels of insanity.

I never get cute in what I say.

You know, pretend to be a true believer, but post statements dripping with sarcasm.

You won't last that way.

My character believes what they say.

I know how to pretend to be somebody else.

Your character has to have authenticity.

My character firmly believes that no one is nearly "CONSERVATIVE" or "CHRISTIAN" or "REPUBLICAN" enough, and sees trolls everywhere.

I go through periods where I post *very* frequently. I'm quite the maniac patriot too. My husband is highly entertained but everytime he tries he gets bounced within a month.

My secret? A. I actually *am* a veteran B. I think of what I would say and then completely reverse it. Works like a charm. They think I am the reddest-meant Red Stater and the biggest worshiper of Bush on the planet. Hey, I live in the middle of Texas so it doesn't take skill just observation and being related to a slew of freeper-ish types (although the Kool-Aid is wearing off most of *my* family surprisingly).

The key is to be a regular but not dominate and to stay away from the board when you are feeling very angry. Actually, I can't count how many people I've gotten bounced through fights I've actually provoked *others* into starting!!!!!

One day I will reveal myself and that will cause some real morale problems. The day I do I shall let all of you know and you can watch the meltdown. Will FR "shut down?" Nah, there will always be jimbob and three others who will believe in this mess long after those running it stop themselves~!!!

The Alexa toolbar is "trackware".

For me, the very fact that it is listed on an anti-virus/anti-spyware website as a threat shows that it isn't something that you'd want on your computer.

Essentially it is a search toolbar plugin for Internet Explorer that reports back to the Alexa search engine on your surfing habits.

Does it demonstrate that DU has less visitors than FR? No. It simply demonstrates that FR users are more likely to have spyware infested computers.

Way stupid. Do we do that here? Hope not. IP isn't really a terribly reliable indicator of much, long term. Really only good on a session by session basis, and put the user behind a farm, and its IP hopping heaven!

Your IP theoretically doesn't change. Its your address. Plus it can give away your general geographic region (like southern maine), but in reality some internet providers give you a new IP address every so often . Personal Internet access often does this. This makes it hard to host stuff at home (your IP changes therefore links to your FTP/WWW etc break). Forces you to buy business accounts! Plus often you will be pooled with other people on the same IP, so a group of people will be visible on the internet as coming from the same IP, but their provider will correctly direct traffic to each user, because INSIDE the providers network they have their own unique IP (that actually conflicts with outside IPs). Plus many people will route their requests through other computers to mask their IP, making themselves look like a different computer. Handy if your looking at something you shouldn't be ( :evilgrin: ). Plus corporate users from major corporations with multiple IPs will often bounce from IP to IP with each web request! So as you see, IP reveals, in the end, very little. Depending on the end user of course.
