2. I missed this last night. I love the chicks,especially Natalie, she
is a firecracker, was one of the first celebx(besides Sean Penn,Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon)to speak out against our boy king.

That was a damn good song, did they get much applause and did the audience seem to respond? I know they have turned their back on their country fans,who could blame them, and I hope that the new music will go over.

3. The tone of the special was not audience oriented
It was very solemn, without fanfare. That is, a celebrity would stand up and say something about the Gulf Coast and then lead into a song. No one was announced by name or song and there was no audience. The only other element was occasionally showing the celebrities at the phone bank, but it wasn't a Hype-Hype-Hype show.

Maines has a true country voice, unlike the wannabees who are just pop
singers singing watered down country-rock.
