Bush approval 39%. Remind others that a Republican House & Senate... |
|
have been in lock step with Bush. This is why Republicans are starting to distance themselves. A Bush endorsement is more of a curse than anything during the campaign for mid-term elections. Point out that these yes men have been in bed with Bush for the past six years.

They won't pass anything he won't sign. http://www.csmonitor.com/2005/0816/p01s04-uspo.html"George W. Bush. In fact, well into the fifth year of his presidency, he has yet to issue a single veto."

5. Am I the only one who finds that fact depressing? |

We live at a point in time when only a religious right nutter intravenously injecting Red-Flavored(tm) koolaid could possibly approve of George Bush. Yet.. yet.. two out of every five Americans do so. That's a unified political base that is hard to beat. Tell me why that doesn't presage Republican electoral victories as far as the eye can see, whenever they field a candidate who isn't just a smidgeon less corrupt and a smidgeon more competent than Dubya himself? Dubya is revealing himself as the genetic worst mix of Richard Nixon, Andrew Johnson, and Alfred E. Neuman. How the hell does he manage 20% approval rating, much less twice that?!?

6. You are damn right they have. Despite our use of torture, despite pork |

projects that take away from necessary structural problems like the NO levees, despite the DSM,despite the lack of wmds, despite not enough protective armor for our sons and dausghters in Iraq and Afghanistan, despite being ripped off by Cheney's Halliburton on no bid contracts, despite looting the treasury, very few of them have spoken out against any of this and they have given him everything he wants.
Our repuke senator Lugar, has never, not once, voted against anything Bush wanted. A monkey could do a better job.
