4. "Now tell me the truth boys, is this kind of fun?"
This morning, U.S. House Majority Leader Tom DeLay's visit to the Reliant Park this offered him a glimpse of what it's like to be living in shelter.

While on the tour of a shelter with top administration officials from Washington, including U.S. Secretary of Labor Elaine L. Chao and U.S. Treasury Secretary John W. Snow, DeLay stopped to chat with three young boys resting on cots.

The congressman likened their stay to being at camp and asked, ``Now tell me the truth boys, is this kind of fun?''

I need to revive my post card campaign to that snake....
I was sending post cards to him & king george for a while that was nothing more than an old Abbie Hoffman quote:

Just wait till Jesus gets his hands on you, you little bastard!

It is most appropriate now with a little revision!

Compassionate conservatism - -
Tom Delay to Child Victims of Hurricane Katrina, "Now tell me the truth boys, is this kind of fun?"

Hurricane Victims to Tom Delay, "Just wait till Jesus gets his hands on you, you little bastard".

While I am working on that I think I may go to the White House web site & send Cheney a few "Go f___K youself" emails!

6. "We didn't complain or sit and wait for the government to come help."
It seems that almost every White Repub Mayor in Mississipi has been basically slamming the "black and poor" people in New Orleans by saying that (must be the Rove talking points that were handed out to them.)

Uh - maybe it's because 80% of your city wasn't underwater. You have a tiny city to deal with unlike a city that had thousands of people to evacuate who were all moved to a small section of the city - half of them being LOCKED IN.

In addition, several people around your town still had means of transportation so they could go and get food, water. Then for some strange reason it seems that they all got assistance MUCH quicker than the people in New Orleans. Most of those towns looked more like a tornado hit it rather than a flood.
