Imagine the hysteria Monday in Washington...
Edited on Sat Sep-10-05 06:58 PM by elehhhhna
When the media can start checking resumes & references in earnest.

It is a fireable offense and IIRC a felony to lie on a FED job application.

Gonna be a whole lotta shakin' goin' on.

And our Asshole of a leader still Installed him at the UN against Congress' Democratic objections. This SOB doesn't care, but hopefully the MSM will let the public know the CONSTANT & NEVER ENDING DECEPTION that this administration engages in.

15. cronyism & incompetence kills - the Dems have to
The Dems have to hold Brown's incompetence up to the light and demand accountability when it comes to all members of the Bush administration.

3. The FBI knew Brown's resume & references were lies, the WH too
That point needs to be addressed by the media.

5. I heard on a news show - might have been KGO
that Brown said that he didn't do that resume himself that the WH and FEMA did it - going to have to look for a link for that - because that is quite interesting if true

4. Do you think appointees have a job application?
I can't imagine that there would be a formal process.

Especially when we see the idiots appointed.

But I totally agree, the media should get out the chain of command list, go through each one, and report on who is not qualified.

And they should do this for every administration, every appointee, from now on.

With Judge Roberts, he is qualified, since he is actually a judge. He may be nuts, but he's a judge.

Mike Brown's only job that he could handle at FEMA would be copy-boy or something.

16. I have no doubt background checks are in order.
I just can't fathom a form filled out by somebody being politically appointed.

I guess I always assumed Bush says his good friend, the toaster oven, will be his appointee for FEMA director.

The toaster oven waits for the congress or whatever process to say ok, and then they report to work.

During that process, the FBI runs the checks, and off they go.

Maybe I am being silly, but I just get this picture of Brown filling out a job app like you'd see at McDonalds.

11. Yes, a serious process.
Check out the quote in today's St. Petersburg newspaper from attorney Stephen Jones who was Brown's previous employer before he fired Brown for "lack of interest in his job".

Jones was interviewed by the FBI prior to Brown's appointment. Jones thought Brown was in line for a state job. When the FBI told Jones it was for the head of FEMA Jones responded "You have got to be kidding".

6. If people die as a result of a person committing a felony
Does that not become a capitol offense? What of the persons responsible for investigating this cretins resume should they be likewise charged as accessories to murder?

7. Yep it's a criminal offense but
Tom Delay and others are somehow magically protected by this Administration...would hope indictments would follow...but Bush power and influence I'm afraid may trump the law in this case...

All we can do is get on the horn and call all the Congressmen we can to complain and demand impeachment of Bush...toll free at 1-877-762-8762.

Boxer, Pelosi, Kerry, McCain, Feingold, Reid, Clinton, Sam Johnson (my freeper Representative), Wexler, Collins, just to name a few.

22. I'm astounded that the Dems weren't all over this . .
Edited on Sat Sep-10-05 07:48 PM by msmcghee
. . starting 5 years ago . . when it became obvious that these guys had no intention of governing. They showed early on that their highest priority was crippling the Dems and securing their own power for the next several decades.

Oh, I guess it would be too mean to independently check the backgrounds of the thousands of hacks that were assigned to top level agency positions by this administration . . who were probably just as clueless and inexperienced as Brown. It might have made Karl Rove unhappy.

Hell, Lieberman pushed Brown through his committee. No wonder we get crapped on time after time.

Conclusion: There are few Dems in office who give a damn what happens as long as they get re-elected. Anybody who actually cared would have methodically started checking the backgrounds on every one of those clueless hacks appointed to high offices by this criminal enterprise.

Now, after a terrible disaster caused by a clueless man in high office . . we're waiting for the media to start looking into this. Sorry if I sound dejected.
