MONEY TRAIL FOLLOWERS: Black Water Assassins
I think the Black Water Contract Mercenaries being in the Katrina affected areas is sketchy at best. Anybody who is interested in this subject should get on their money trail, find out who ordered these assassins and where their paycheck is coming from.

www.truthout.org says the mercs are making 350 a day for up to 6 months, that is $63,000 each. We need to find out how many of these mercs are stationed so we can get an idea of how much money is flowing through to these guys.

1. they might be making that kinda coin in iraq, but i doubt
that's the rate for the garden district. but what i wanna know is why nagin and the new orleans police chief took firearms away from the private citizens but allowed the *security guards* who are also private citizens to retain their automatic weapons? talk about a farking double standard. sheesh.

2. I thought that order came from DHS.
How could a mayor have that kind of authority?

3. sofa,
http://www.truthout.org/docs_2005/091005A.shtml"> Blackwater Mercenaries Deploy in New Orleans

"A short while later, as we continued down Bourbon Street, we ran into the men from the car. They wore Blackwater ID badges on their arms.

"When they told me New Orleans, I said, 'What country is that in?,'" said one of the Blackwater men. He was wearing his company ID around his neck in a carrying case with the phrase "Operation Iraqi Freedom" printed on it. After bragging about how he drives around Iraq in a "State Department issued level 5, explosion proof BMW," he said he was "just trying to get back to Kirkuk (in the north of Iraq) where the real action is." Later we overheard him on his cell phone complaining that Blackwater was only paying $350 a day plus per diem."

4. I don't like the sound of this:
"This is a trend," he told us. "You're going to see a lot more guys like us in these situations."
