A proposal: Taxes for Katrina, fundraisers for Iraq War - not vice versa

The generous outpouring of aid from the American people is comforting, and not surprising - but this is the kind of thing I want my tax dollars spent on, not some insane neocon war dream implemented by using and lying about an unrelated terror attack. So, if the Bushbots are so confident of the rectitude of their position, please shift primary funding of the war to fundraisers, and use my personal tax dollars for Katrina victims. Perhaps Dick Cheney could be the host of such a fundraiser, concluding by singing his own version of Jerry's, "You'll Never Walk Alone (and go f*** yourself)," . And the guests? Hmmm. . . .

Ugh. What a dweeb. But, I would like some comment here about this telethon. I can see Paul Wolfowitz as a guest singing, "Walk On By;" Limbaugh singing "Ballad of the Green Berets" with a full load in his pants. And don't forget Condi doing a trapeze act with Ariel Sharon, reinforcing his fixation on her legs. Bill O'Reilly? Hannity? Ingraham? What roles do they play? Oh geez, what about - Coulter. Your call. And of course, the circus ringmaster, Colin Powell. Who threw his life away for the neocons, and knows it. He and Robert McNamara (still alive!) ought to have dinner, and I ought to be there. But, I digress. Tragedy tomorrow, comedy tonight! Who is the Norm Crosby of the Bush-Cheney telethon for the Neocon War?
