Wanted: Dead or Alive
It's been 4 years since September 11, 2001.
Whatever happened to "Dead or Alive"?

"The search is underway for those who are behind these evil acts. I've directed the full resources of our intelligence and law enforcement communities to find those responsible and to bring them to justice."
GWB- 9/11/01

"I don't care, dead or alive — either way," Bush said. "It doesn't matter to me."
GWB- 12/14/01

Hold Bush accountable for his actions! (Or lack thereof)

3. It's not that important
"I don't know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority."
- G.W. Bush, 3/13/02

"I am truly not that concerned about him."
- G.W. Bush, repsonding to a question about bin Laden's whereabouts,

4. "I will not rest"
He's rested more than any other President in US History, and I doubt he's still carrying Officer Howard's shield. He is, quite simply, an insincere liar.

Address to a Joint Session of Congress and the American People

    United States Capitol
    Washington, D.C.

    September 20, 2001
    9:00 P.M. EDT

    ...

And I will carry this: It is the police shield of a man named George Howard, who died at the World Trade Center trying to save others. It was given to me by his mom, Arlene, as a proud memorial to her son. This is my reminder of lives that ended, and a task that does not end. (Applause.)

I will not forget this wound to our country or those who inflicted it. I will not yield; I will not rest; I will not relent in waging this struggle for freedom and security for the American people.

5. Here's what happened. " I truly am not that concerned about him. " ~ GWB
3/13/2002. SIX short months after Osama's horrendous assassination of 3000 innocent American's - George Bush, our great and fearless leader was simply "not concerned."

http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2002/03/20020313-8.html

"Q Mr. President, in your speeches now you rarely talk or mention Osama bin Laden. Why is that? Also, can you tell the American people if you have any more information, if you know if he is dead or alive? Final part -- deep in your heart, don't you truly believe that until you find out if he is dead or alive, you won't really eliminate the threat of --

THE PRESIDENT: Deep in my heart I know the man is on the run, if he's alive at all. Who knows if he's hiding in some cave or not; we haven't heard from him in a long time. And the idea of focusing on one person is -- really indicates to me people don't understand the scope of the mission."

... And, again, I don't know where he is. I -- I'll repeat what I said. I truly am not that concerned about him.

But, it's ok to focus on Saddam Hussein (who had nada to do with 911) however focusing on the murderer Bush said he wanted "dead or alive" would not be within the "scope of the mission." Apparently Bush did not understand that ol' scope thingy when he declared that OBL was wanted "dead or alive" ey?

Yes indeed, life in Bushville - sure is odd.
