This is FAUX's game in a nutshell.
On the Faux news Sunday show today, they had their "panel" of Brit Hume, Mara Liasson, Bill Kristol and Juan Williams. And the first question is "Who gets blamed for what happened in New Orleans?" And the three pictures up on the screen were Mayor Nagin, Governor Blanco, and Michael Brown of FEMA? No bush and no Chertoff, of course, because they deserve no blame for anything.

Brit Hume takes this narrowed down field and (surprise) assigns blame to the democrats, Blanco and Nagin. Mara and Bill blather on about something, and Juan Williams calls bullshit and said Bush deserves blame for this. It's 3 (and 4 when you count Chris Wallace) against him, but Williams goes to bat. And sends a line drive up the middle, I thought.

So then Brit Hume comes in and starts to say how absurd it is to suggest Bush deserves any blame. He suggests that dumb things were said by the feds, but it was the state and local people who screwed up. And there was a minute or two of back and forth between Williams and Hume, and then it was cut to commercial.

I don't know what happened next, but those three pictures on the screen told it all for me.

1. Brit Fume is one bitter-acting, angry Bushbot
I was stunned to see just how venomous this guy has become in his old age, and what a Repub shill at that. I mean, I'd heard, but to finally see Fume in action was kind of disturbing. Humorless, condescending, bitter.

7. His son committed suicide (Hume's).
Word has it that he somehow blames the Democrats/progressives.

I have no idea why; I'd have to do quite a bit of research before I'd understand that line of 'reasoning.'

9. His son committed suicide because his father was a cold,
heartless, disinterested, right wing, career driven stranger. Hume has all the humanity of a dead fish. He wasn't able to recognize nor attempt to help a troubled son--he had better things to do. After all, you can't play tennis with GHW Bush if you are spending time with your family.

So, Hume has to blame someone, and like all wingnuts, that would be anyone but himself.

2. What Does FEMA mean? FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY
What the hell do these idiots on Fox think it means? When I call the police to an accident scene I do not expect to tell them how many cops, cars, and ambulances to send. I expect them to know what to do by the nature of the emergency I am describing.

3. Brit Hume is such a horrible person that I could care less if he died
I can't imagine how any station can have such shills lined up on it - perhaps that's why I feel that Faux "News" must be exposed for the propaganda machine that it is and destroyed for commiting treason.

6. Williams stated his case very firmly and was blowing Hume away so Brit
started to get snippy and slightly raised his voice. Williams did not back down.

Mara didn't sign up for the Kool Aid. This time.

10. Also - we are ghouls. I didn't know that. But apparently we are.
You know - just waiting for the dead to pile up. Unlike Bush - who WENT TO SLEEP!
