RIP Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown |
|
He died in Texas after being successfully evacuated from his now destroyed home in Slidell LA. I saw him a couple of times and he put on an incredible show. You'll be missed. http://www.cnn.com/2005/SHOWBIZ/Music/09/11/gatemouthbrown.obit.ap/index.html

3. I was fortunate enough to catch Gatemouth |
|
many times over the years. Deadly opening act- blew everyone (Stones included) off the stage.
No offense to 'Stones fans- I'm one, too.

I loved Gatemouth!! Never saw him live unfortunately but have a lot of his CDs. An American original and one of the few artists I can play at family gatherings and have everyone from 8 year old kids to grandparents saying, "What's THAT?" You just can't not like Gatemouth. I'm so sorry he had to see all that destruction before he passed. RIP to a great American artist!

5. This is what the federal departments slyly call "normal mortality" |
|
...a fucking cheap way to keep the head counts down on death rates due to Katrina and people who normally would be dead anyway....at some point....depending on God's grace and the creeks don't rise! The fuckers. They look for loop-holes wherever they can.
Wait until the babies start dying from sludge borne diseases and mothers and kids two months from now, a year from now, ten years from now. Yep, "normal mortality" with a slight up-tick I think that's what they'll call it.
