DC 9/11 REMIX (In case you never saw it)
<http://www.mteww.com/dc911/>

I saw this during the NYC theater festival that was the Republican Convention. This is the most sensationaizedl 9/11 dramatization, through a Showtime propaganda film about Bush's 'decisive' action on 9/11.

But they dub in real footage of the day, thought bubbles, music and more. It seems even more timely this year, the bad propaganda dramatizations seeming like deliberate camp, but with recognizable celebrities (Penny Davis from 24? Timothy Bottom from "That's My Bush"??)

I need something to both relive that painful day yet also put it in perspective. This will likely be my new tradition.

White House insider cleans up Bush's image on film

By DOUG SAUNDERS

Wednesday, May 28, 2003 Updated at 2:37 AM EDT$

From Wednesday's Globe and Mail

Trapped on the other side of the country aboard Air Force One, the President has lost his cool: "If some tinhorn terrorist wants me, tell him to come and get me! I'll be at home! Waiting for the bastard!"

His Secret Service chief seems taken aback. "But Mr. President . . ."

The President brusquely interrupts him. "Try Commander-in-Chief. Whose present command is: Take the President home!"

Was this George W. Bush's moment of resolve on Sept. 11, 2001? Well, not exactly. Actually, the scene took place this month, on a Toronto sound stage.

On edit: I just realized that I had unthinkingly quoted more than I should have. Sorry. Check the rest out at that URL.
