its environmental and structural needs ASAP. That was early last summer. Did the media TALK ABOUT IT? Did Bush's campaign refute Kerry on that? Oh look, another Swiftliar we can give unlimited airtime.

The media had been given the perfect opportunity to open their eyes on this issue - they chose to not even discuss it.

Chris Matthews was too busy drooling over pictures of Bush in a flight suit costume that he no doubt uses as his screensaver.

4. Do you know what happened to that?
Was there a bill before Congress or something? Do you have more details?

Thanks in advance.

8. He said it in a campaign speech in Louisiana w/Landrieu standing by.
He was acutely aware of the problems there - way back in 1991 he crafted legislation for the area that he fought to push through congress. I believe Clinton finally signed the bill in 1994, but it was watered down, as I recall.

Trying to do this from memory, as I'm only able to do hit and run posting today.

10. It would be great if there was a link to this info.
If you run across it please post it.

I must say that Kerry is hitting at all the soft spots on this.

It is great.

12. Found a couple general articles referring to the speech from USAToday
and NYT but neither got into the details, just mentioned the import of conservation as a general tone. Very disappointing coverage. Typical of their standard practice throughout 2004 to edit out important aspects of Kerry's campaign.

If you didn't catch it live on Cspan, there was no MSM willing to report anything more than generalities.

5. Thanks for the Info blm
Johnny was very concerned about our Major Ports. He stressed beefing up security and providing much needed Resources to these areas.

7. We need a good researcher to put together a montage of the debates
the answers then, and what turned out to be the actual truth.

The DNC needs to put it into a commercial format, and air it EVERYWHERE. Everything Kerry said turned out to be the truth. Bush's lies, half-truths and skirting around the truth will leave a bad taste in the mouths of everyone who watches it.

Every month, it seems that one more thing that came up in the debates, that Kerry answered, then Bush laughed and said "that's not right" turned out to be right. I know that is an awkward sentence, but I hope you get the drift.

Everything Kerry said Bush has undermined or WILL UNDERMINE soon has proven to be true.

11. I know - we need to push that truth home now, while people are still
receptive.
