all through yesterday's 'moment of silence', I heard thousands screaming |
|
i heard the death screams of 3000 people on sept. 11th as they decided between burning to death or jumping to their deaths. i heard over 100,000 innocent iraqis screaming, the screams of men, women and children who never attacked us.
i heard the screams of the starving and dying of thirst and lack of medications in new orleans and mississippi and alabama, and i heard the death screams of 2000 american soldiers who DIDN'T HAVE TO DIE.
and i heard the screams of all the people in the near future who will soon die by decree of president cheney and his hollow billionaire friends. there was nothing silent about that much vaunted moment of silence.

of them to stand and pretend to pray. I guess they don't hear those screams at all; it is probably drown out by the sweet sound of a cash register.
Well said.
