Bush to use black preachers to try to pull his ass out of the fire
with black folks.
I'm so tired of these bought-off preachers having the nerve to try to sell the GOP's bullshit to us blacks.

3. There will always be a small handful of those types
Women, who support the sexist regime, Blacks who support the racist regime, Gays who support the homophobic regime...

I doubt many Blacks will fall for it. The Republicans have been doing this forever and they have yet to win more than a sliver of the Black vote.

4. it won't work
The suffering that the African Americans have endured through this administration was highlighted in New Orleans, but more important it exposed the conditions of poverty that this administration could care less for

In 2007 the voting rights act comes up for renewal, believe it or NOT

It is like Clinton said, this administration can only win when they divide us

5. trust me, this will not work. he can parade a thousand black preachers
across the stage. it will not work. * has shown himself for what he really is and how he really feels about blacks. if anything, this may actually turn blacks off(those who aren't already aren't) to td jakes. this stunt really makes him look "bought and bossed". I'm really disappointed in him backing *co.

they must have payed his butt really well!:puke:

6. You're probably right, so he might then start doing things
like giving money to black groups to show how sensitive and how much he cares.

7. still won't work. we saw this with our own eyes. people being treated
like animals with no food and water. like bill maher said, "the republicans have lost an entire generation of blacks" by this fiasco. the images of those babies and old people who look like me starving and dying of dehydration will be etched in my mind forever. no preacher can take the sting out of this wound.

8. I used to find TD Jakes entertaining, but not in a long time
He had an episode where he was preaching against homosexuality, and although I am not gay, I really didn't want to hear that kind of hatred expressed by a so-called christian. I'll stick with Joel Osteen, and his positive message. I don't send any of them money, however.

12. my Dad asked me to listen to Joel Osteen, he's not a hate monger and
stays positive. I think he was influenced by having a father who preached all over the world. He's seen lots of cultures.

Osteen isn't my cup of tea, but I wouldn't mind having a conversation with the man.

Upper-Middle Class to Wealthy Blacks? Most of these "strange characters" will come from the affluent suburbs ... perhaps they will pay off the Middle Class Blacks to be bused in. Nope! I forgot that, as a group, Blacks have their pride, and their culture intact ... too bad I can't say the same about my bloated Caucasian brothers and sisters ... far too many who denounce their roots in working class America ... now only to worship "Money and Power" as a new Savior. :puke:

16. Bush
Maybe Bush can use his connections to get cooperating black ministers prime air time on one of the Christian channels, so they can really rake it in.

17. Sharpton, Jesse Jackson will likely attend the Millions More March next
month in Wash D.C.. They, Farrakhan, and other black preachers will paint a picture of what's really going on with racial justice in America.

This will trump anything that paid-off Bush shills have to say.
