John McCain sure is quiet.... |
|
Has anyone heard him make any statement regarding Katrina since the cake photo-op?
Just wondering.
Must be comforting for him to know his image with Bunnypants while New Orleans and the Gulf Coast drowned is forever etched in the collective consciousness of the country.

1. Maybe he choked on the cake? |
|
He's probably running as far away from Bush as he can... and hoping that the photo op dies a quick death.
People are going to remember it was his cake that Bush was eating. If McCain was the kind of leader that Republicans THINK he is, he would have told Bush to get his sorry ass on a plane back to DC so he could be there for the people of our country during a Cat 5 hurricane!

4. Sen. McCain wants to be the Republican 'hier apparant' |
|
Make no mistake, McCain still wants to be president. He's not going to destroy the clout with Bush's ever-so-open-minded base.
I wonder if John McCain has any of his own teeth left. He must grind them like crazy when he has to kiss up to the chimp. Too bad, I actually like McCain.

5. Any and all integrity McCain had... |
|
evaporated during the last election cycle. He has proven himself time and time again to be a shill for his party and nothing more.
Frankly, it's disappointing considering this is a Senator who made a name for himself by speaking his mind. He decided at some point that it was better to march lock-step with the Repubs and neocons rather than do the right thing.
He's a joke.

I have yet to see McCain on the shows making the rounds defending Bush. I do remember last week going into the Kerry forum and someone posted how Kerry and a few others were going to McCain and there were some finger pointing in McCain's direction. He is very quiet.

10. He and Ralph Nader are working very, very hard, um, at something. |

I'm sure whatever it is, it's pretty damn important. And by the way, the http://www.dailykos.com/story/2005/9/5/183618/3893">President got his ass on the ground in New Orleans pretty damn quickly.
