If there is another forum to discuss this, I'd be pleased if mods or admins would move it. Thanks.

Appointments to keep now. Appreciate your help, folks!

3. Should probably be in the Science forum, but they don't look fake to me
I'm not an expert, but they don't look any different from what I've seen on The Science Channel and on National Geographic.

Amazing though, aren't they?

5. Yep, that's the guy--his photographs are amazing!

And real.

From Snopes:

"These images are actually photographs of tornadoes taken by storm chaser Mike Hollingshead in southwest Iowa in late spring 2004. Most of them are viewable on the 2004 Digital Photos section of his web site . . . "

15. And that's Iowa...
I love my home state! I've seen storms there do things and I never thought possible.

6. They're probably real
But not Katrina. At least two look like midwestern storms to me.

10. These are the atmospheric phenomena seen wherever Cheney shows up
In one of them, you can just see him beginning to walk across the field toward the camera.

11. They are most definitely real.
I used to see weather like that and then some growing up on the great plains........unbelievable stuff. If you have never seen a tornado up close....WOW. I remember seeing one once what looked like a HUGE elephants trunk, dark, dark almost black, swaying from the thickest, ugliest looking bank of clouds. *shudder*

13. Definitely real.
But not Katrina, if that's what your asking. Checkout snopes.

14. Thanks, everyone, for this interesting discussion! I've advised
the person who sent the photos to me -- to check out information she receives on the Internet BEFORE she passes it along to others.

16. If I ever saw clouds like that in person I would shit myself.
I'd think it was the end times or something.
