6. Very interesting
Why weren't the media able to be there? I find that extremley strange because these people are all about the PR. That doesn't make any sense to me with these people.

3. All I heard was a blurb on the evening news
they said (paraphrasing) " there was a freedom march today to support president bush, put together by the department of defense"

I laughed out loud

They got there at 2:00...1st photo

They got closer to see kids packing up

John's comments:

I went up to some guy on the soundstage and asked him when this all began. He told me 11am, as soon as people started arriving. How many were there, I asked him. 15,000 to 18,000, he told me. Yeah, right. The Washington Post says "thousands" and another story online simply says "droves."

I've seen a lot of marches on the mall in my 20+ years in Washington, but I've never seen one where 15,000 people arrive between 11am and noon, and are all gone, and everything's cleaned up, two hours later.

Methinks the Freedom March, Patriot Party, or whatever, was a bit of a bust. Clearly Bush didn't get the September 11 war-fest he wanted. And my suspicion is that after Katrina, and all the criticism of every other event the president ran to instead of focusing on Katrina, the White House wrote this thing off.

And good riddance.

Can we now move past September 11, finally?

5. I think so too
It is a bit strange eh? That doesn't look like many seats there. Why aren't they showing the whole place? And I've never heard of someone cleaning up a concert in just two hours. I was in the high school band and we used to clean up the football field after we held a competition and it took us a couple of hours to clean up the trash and we used to fill up the stadium with the competition. It took more than two hours to clean up something like that.

7. It was a bust, plain and simple.
The media played up the numbers, as usual.

8. They're going to see what a REAL march looks like on the 24th
and also what the American public REALLY thinks of this sham presidency and their illegal occupation.

10. The only place I've seen the Hatriot March covered is HERE!
We're in a sense giving them PITY attention; the virtual equivalent of patting someone pathetic on the head and saying "there, there now, everything will be alright."

16. welllll......I watched a few minutes of the beginning of the most
ironically named parade in memory, at the Pentagon parking lot, and there actually were quite a few people there; certainly several thousand, arranged by governmental department, among other things:

vertical signs, ala political conventions.

one weird thing was that almost every single person was wearing a white Tshirt with something emblazoned on it, and I mean just about every single person.

I didn't see ANY film/photo coverage on any news I watched yesterday, including gasbag shows, but that may not mean anything

I know they were restricted to certain zones (first amendment in reverse?), and were NOT allowed to accompany the zombies along the route
