Sad to say but why should the current leadership improve, as its been said; 'with katrina we had a 3 day warning...

1. Exactly what we got the last time they struck the US
Death, destruction, confusion, failure, and incredible bravery on the ground wasted by sheer ineptitude.

And the president showing up days later.

2. absolutely. Suppose your area gets doused with radiation
or some kind of chemical hazard, it could make a big difference whether you're evacuated in 2 hours or 4 days.

9. Bukoo bucks for Halliburton & Dickhead Cheney --
End of 2001: approx $12 a share
End of 2002: approx $20 a share
End of 2003: approx $28 a share
End of 2004: approx $40 a share

Today: $63.94 a share

Not to mention the billions that have 'disappeared' from Iraq. Oh geez, where did that go?

Robber barons, the whole lot of them. They should be behind bars, all their assets confiscated.

5. I have never looked to them to protect me or my family.
They do not care about any of us. Save yourself. Have a plan to get the hell out of here if there is time. The only ones they save are those who voted for them. I am stocking up on canned goods, water and bullets as we speak. They will let you die if you are poor. I know what my chances are of getting help living in Michigan are. Slim to none.

7. Yes - lots of high-dollar photo ops several days after the attacks
and that is pretty much all we can expect.

8. The dems should be hammering this point home!!
The money spent on the illegal war has left our country's infrastructure & support services (police, fire, NG) weak & not capable of protecting the 'homeland' or it's citizens. Just think if there had been a terrorist attack last week. We would have been toast. We couldn't handle one disaster well -- how the hell could we have handled two with any competence at all?
