Letter on congress.org asks Bush to help the NWA Union!
Can you believe the ignorance of some people? That's like a chicken asking a fox to help stop all those darn foxes from eating them.
If it's true, it is kina scary. How hard would it be for somebody to fake their papers and be your next flight attendant?

Subject:
Please Save Our American Jobs

To:
President George Bush

September 12, 2005

Dear Mr. Bush, I realize these are trying times for your administration, but I am hoping to get your attention on this extremely important matter.

I am a Flight Attendant for Northwest Airlines. As you probably know, our contract is currently open for negotiation. NWA has just proposed an elimination of 5,400 flight attendant positions and subsequent paycuts.

Mr. President, their plan is to replace these positions with foreign nationals from China, India, and the Philippines.
This will mean 5,400 Americans will lose their jobs and the remaining flight attendants will be severely cut in pay.

NWA will bypass the Immigration laws by building trips that run domestic segments with international segmemts permitting the use of foreign nationals on domestic flights. This will create a huge jeopardy to our national security, not to mention the impact of 10,000 flight attendant jobs.
If NWA is allowed to operate an American Carrier with foreign nationals and set a precedence, all AMERICAN JOBS will be at stake. It will be a small matter of time before all air carriers follow suit ,not to mention the auto industry.

The business model that Northwest Airlines is using has already been proven effectual by applying these concepts to the mechanics group. 4,500 maintenance workers were replaced as they went on strike by foreign maintenance contracts and contract workers. They diminished the work force by 50%.

Please do not allow the further destruction of our economy by letting 10,000 flight attendants be demoralized in this way.

Mr. Bush........it is a time for action. Please do not let this AMERICAN AIR CARRIER REPLACE AMERICAN WORKERS.

3. Oh Boy, That's Rich
What kind of simple minded, detached from reality, one celled Hammond organism would expect help from a Republican administration in saving their job?
A Union job at that.
Jeez, don't people pay attention or read the newspaper? Here's a clue for you Hinkley; Air Traffic Controllers.
