Hardball - Interview with People Turned Back Bridge at Gunpoint
Sounds interesting even if it is Tweety. Bet KO will be fabulous on Countdown tonight. From Hardball email:

Chris is down in New Orleans today examining the damage for himself, meeting with local officials and residents and getting a sense of how the rescue and reconstruction of that city is coming along...We'll do the show from there of course...By the way, all night long at MSNBC we're focusing on what went wrong in the response to Hurricane Katrina...Who responded how and what can we do better in the future?...Also today, President Bush toured New Orleans and Gulfport, MS to survey the damage and reconstruction efforts...We'll bring you that report as well..

We'll heavily excerpt last Friday night's edition of "Dateline" which goes in depth into the "what went wrong" question....We'll also get the latest from David Shuster and others on the ground...Chris will chat with the New Orleans police chief and a couple of paramedics from San Francisco who were trapped in New Orleans for five days and were threatened at gun point by the Gretna, LA police when they tried to leave...They also say Gretna police destroyed their encampment under and over pass and took their food and water, also at gun point...Here's the backgrounder http://sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/c/a/2005/09/09/BAGL1EL1KH1.DTL&type=printable

Finally we'll wrap it up with a taped piece by Chris on his reflections of the devastation...

12. I was glad the story getting more exposure, but the "This American Life"
version (same people) is better:

"After the Flood"

5. David Scheuster Has Done Some Very Good Work
He's the reporter for Tweety and has been in NOLA sending back some very good stories and blogging.

Hopefully he'll be doing the story, not Tweety. I suspect we'll see Tweety from the aircraft carrier...fawning over all the military-types and orgasming over meester booosh's photo-op from earlier today.

Be assured the blame will be all over Blanco tonight and how the Democrats are trying to play the "race card". The talking points are out and nobody spins for Karl like Tweety.

11. I'll watch. Know what I found interesting?
The sheriff who wouldn't let the people in his town is WHITE. VERY, VERY telling. BIGOT. He said it had nothing to do with race. It was about the "safety of his town.". Yeah, riiiight. I believe you.:eyes: bastard.
