25%? 15%? I wonder what the floor is, there has got to be one. I also wonder what rove has in mind to boost the chimp, other than attempt to spend their way out out of it.

1. We're already there
No one can rationally support Bush and the PNAC agenda. Those who do cling to a faith with the intensity of any religious fanatic.

3. Well, Bush family aligned with RevMoon for over 40 years now. I doubt they
exchanged recipes for stew. Mind control...yes...stew...doubtful.

8. When we take back the media. Simple stated, we must
make msm realize we are really the majority. Only then will the coldhearted individuals who support Bush be taken out of power. Take, for example, the supervisor I had at the last job I had. He said (and I quote), "I don't know why people blame President Bush for the economy and joblessness. There are too many people in the world. We can't employ them all." If I had a nickel for every time in the last week or so that I have thought of sending him some graphic pictures from NOLA in his inbox with a little message that reads, "Hey, you got your wish. Happy now? There are less people in the world now. I bet that economy improves now, huh?" I want to do that so bad right now, but being on my knees for that degree has kept me quiet. There will come a time when I can bring it up though. And I will bide my time until the time comes. Then I will remind him of his callousness.

10. You're a cult member as soon as you approve of Bush.
The only question is, "How many fellow cultists do you have at any given time?"

11. The Republicans are a cult.
The difference between the GOP cult and other cults is simple - the GOP doesnt KNOW they're a cult.

12. Read this: The New American Religion: George Bush as a Cult Figure
http://eternal-hope.mydd.com/story/2005/8/21/165238/262

A reader on my blog comments that George Bush is like God to the right-wingers. She makes a very good point; the new American religion is the belief that George Bush is the most infallible person since the Bible was completed 2000 years ago.

snip -

Bushism is an extension of this belief system. It is an apolcalyptic belief system which goes beyond normal fundamentalism and into the realm of politics. Before we continue, we shoud make clear that not all fundamentalists are Bushists. This belief system holds that George Bush is the greatest man to arise since the Bible was finished 2000 years ago and the Apostle John passed away. Therefore, according to this belief system, George Bush is infallable and anything he says is gospel truth.

snip -

Religious figures -- good or bad -- have the kind of appeal they do because they have an aura of certainty about them. Jesus, Mohammed, Abraham, Moses, Buddha, Confucius, Lao-Tse, and other religious figures communicated to their followers with a near-absolute degree of certainty the meaning of life to people who were lost and looking for answers in an uncertain world. The gift of being able to communicate certainty to an uncertain world is a rare gift which cannot be taken lightly. It can be used for great good as well as great harm.

George Bush has such a gift of communicating certainty. However, he has grossly misused that gift and has wreaked great harm on this world as a result. The hundreds of thousands of people killed in Iraq along with the many broken lives that have taken place are a direct result of the fanaticism of his legions of followers, Congressional enablers, and appointees who allowed themselves to be seduced by Bush's cult of personality and check their brains at the voting booth.

Just this morning I was trying to find the right word for blind bush followers and "cult" works perfectly! How else could it possibly be explained?

14. I think the true kool-aid drinkers run about 20-25 percent.
An additional 10-15 percent don't watch anything but FOX News, and/or read anything but the Washington Times or Wall Street Journal.

21. 34-36% is about my estimate.
That seems to be the 'floor' that Bush has reached now. However that % has been driving our political system for at least since Ray-gun.

Since the majority of Citizens are completely tuned out to "politics," 34-36% is a huge majority.

It has to be satire.

Please, God, someone tell me its satire.

19. Well I think they lost one member today.
Today at my Park and Ride there is this Bushie that I always try to park next to because he has a Bush/Cheney sticker on his bmw. I have a democraticunderground.com sticker on mine. :-)I did see who it was that owns the car so that's how I know it's a guy (white male). Well lo and behold today after work I saw the car and there was no sticker there. You could see the film left over since it had been there a while. I thought it could be a coincidence that he decided to finally take it off but then I realized no it's not because it wasn't a W '04 sticker. This was a Bush/Cheney sticker. I guess he thought no one would notice eh? LOL.

22. They *Are* a Cult!
Bush fans baffle me constantly with their refusal to see the truth, no matter how much it stares them in the face. They seem like they are on something. Sounds like a cult to me.
