1. very misleading title
'missing' means they haven't hooked back up with their parents.

you might want to verify and consider changing the thread title.

4. we don't know what has happened to them, so therefore they are missing
We don't know if they're dead or alive...I believe that was the point of the post anyway.

8. IMHOP, even worse than the desperation of the four days of suffering
is the carelessness in the handling of these children.

The safety net that we all thought was there for us in our federal government has failed us miserably and in no more horrible and cruel way than in the tearing apart of families.

When African Americans say that this entire episode in NOLA is reminiscent of slavery, the separation of families is uppermost in th eir minds.

A gvoernment which ordered the draining of a lake in Aruba to find one missing American girl was powerless when it came to the safety and security of its citizens of color.

The distrust in the government is enormous and growing.

3. Excellent coverage of NO on DemNow today
Well worth the watch, if only to see New Orleans finest (Police Dept.) in their full glory!

6. And what would be the connection of the cops
in New Orleans to this story?

Possibly because there are 500 missing police officers/employees, too?
