Buy Bush a TV!
We should start a fund to buy Bush a TV. If a lot of people contribute, we can get him a really nice TV that he will watch. In between marathon sessions of Cartoon Network, there's a finite chance that he'll watch the news.

I'm suggesting this because, if he does watch the news just every once in a while, he might just know what a reporter is talking about when they ask him a question. I mean look, he didn't know the hurricane was, like, bad and stuff, and he didn't know Brown had resigned. Let's give the man a hand (and send some pretzels).

2. oh, and remember, tho
Bush does not "prejudge" based on "media reports"

Maybe that's it: he didn't want to prejudge the situation in NOLA based on media reports.

6. You can lead a dictator to the news but you can't make him watch.

9. Does anyone remember "That's My Bush"?
It was a show on Comedy Channel for a short time by the South Park guys.

The only episode I remember watching was about George stealing cable and I think Laura was trying to talk him out of it.

Maybe that's why he doesn't know what's going on. Laura made him unhook the cable. I knew it was her fault somehow.

10. You saw the Newsweek article
didn't you? Andrew Card literally had to burn a CD of news accounts of New Orleans to convince him how bad things were there. Why would he not have tv's tuned to every channel so he could see what was going on?

Good idea to get him a tv - but his corporate sponsors should really spring for it.

14. RE newsweek article
I saw it here and yeah, that's what gave me the idea.

Seriously, this could be done as a "public service," and it could be delivered to the white house by a select group (as mentioned earlier). "We, concerned citizens, are concerned that our president is underprivledged and want to correct this problem. In the wake of hurricane 'corina,' our president apparently lacked the intelligence-gathering capacity enjoyed by a vast majority of Americans."

If Bush's temper is what many (including myself) think it is, this should pretty much cause him to fly into a fit of rage.

15. picture in a picture
So he can watch news AND Cartoon Network. But only international news, otherwise he'll just put it on Fox and we'll have wasted our money.
