A Bush hating friend of mine thinks Bush won Florida fair & square
Okay, this friend of mine hates Bush more than I do & he's pretty sensible when it comes to politics, however he refuses to give in to the FACT that Gore won. He HATES it when I remind him that the Supreme Court SELECTED Bush. He says its a flat out lie. Now, this guy is by no means a freeper nor is he trying to make trouble. He honestly thinks he's right. Tonight he sent me this.Without getting to preachy, whats the best way I can show him Gore won?Heres the link he sent me

First thing that came to mind is the Vincent Bugliosi piece titled "None Dare Call It Treason." The book of the same name is a very good read.

3. When
Are you talking about 2000 or 2004? I obviously think the Dems won both times, but at least I can vaguely understand someone thinking that * won in 2004. However, one would have to be a howling fool to think that he won in 2000.

4. same here
I've had this same argument with a left-wing friend of mine. As far as he's concerned the Supreme Court ruled and we just have to lump it. This, of course, ignores the mountains of evidence showing malfeasance and outright fraud in Florida in 2000, but he just doesn't want to hear it.

5. Not to mention that it's outside the powers of
the Supreme Court to appoint a president.

6. I didn't think most people thought Bush won
thats what surprised me. I mean everyone from late night comediens to journalist question Bush really winning in 2000. I showed him Greg Palast's website & didn't think it was a good enough website. Said it was bias. I'll keep looking.

7. Not to mention
that the reasoning of the SCOTUS was totally fucked in the legal sense. They knew it which was why they said that this decision could not set precedent for future cases. It didn't hold water then, and it obviously won't hold up to any simple scrutiny in the future.

12. To me, what's really frustrating
is that despite an obviously unlevel playing field (Florida 2000, Ohio 2004, rightwing control over voting machines) Democrats for some reason have kept on playing nice rather than raising royal hell and crying foul where a foul was committed. Methinks I smell the DLC...

9. I have one of those
actually, more than one.

"He lost! Get over it!" coming out of a Dem's mouth no matter what I try to say. Couldn't even get one whole sentence out without him repeating "He lost! Get over it!'

10. Gor Won Florida
He needs to read Andrew Gumbal's new book entitled "Stealing Elections." That NORC recount shows that Gore won under 6 of 9 scenarios and would have prevailed slightly had ther been a statewide recount. This does not include the Palm Beach butterfly ballots or the thousands of minority voters who were illegally disenfranchised. The NORC recount showed a small Gore win under 6 of the 9 secenarios. If the improperly disenfranchised voters were allowed to vote and have their votes counted, Gore would have won by about 30,000 votes.

11. If he can't see he lost in 2000.......
.....he's blind, deaf and dumb. It's so obvious it's to be ridiculous.

2004 was rigged there too, but that's the Dems fault for throwing up their hands and saying "Whataya gonna do?" and putting all the chips in Ohio.

15. thanks
I'm reading the Project Censored article right now. It's funny--I'm not surprised really by any of the information or claims in articles like these, but it still makes me so depressed to read them.

Someday I wish to see Karl Rove and that whole crowd locked away for what they've done.
