Malloy caller: Dem candidates have been a "Pantheon of Losers" |

Fantastic description. I especially loved the closing: "I mean...Mike Dukakis, what the hell?"

Didn't help him much. They say that Mondale was quite pure. Didn't help him much. McGovern sounds like a dandy fellow. Didn't help him much.
I like Gore. I like Kerry. Both are hardcore enough for me. And both came damned close, much closer than any of the folks I just mentioned.
And, God love him, closer than Dennis would be likely to get.
I don't even think Dennis himselves has illusiions about that. Has anyone even heard a peep out of him about running this next time?

I hate using that pseudoword, but it really does discribe the situation.

13. Not dissing Dennis, just saying that being pure |
|
does not a successful candidate make necessarily. And Dennis, having not made it out of the primaries, is also a loser. No excuses. No whining about what he didn't get. He didn't make it. And I see no reason to think he'd get anywhere a second time. Nor do I see any evidence that HE even thinks he'd have a chance. More than one Kucitizen has said that he only stayed in toward the end to affect the debate. And that he did. A good man.
But he'd better bring it next time. It's up to him. Excuses be damned.

That's why Gore actually won in 2000 and Kerry came so close in 2004, right? And why the reTHUGs can't even come close to winning honestly, without fixing the machines and suppressing the vote in Dem districts, right?
I'm sick of Dems putting down Dems. Get with the program.

The United States of America is in the worst position I have ever seen, fiscally, infrastructure-wise, instituion-wise, care for the needy-wise, (homeland) security-wise, world support/respecit wise - we are in fucking peril due to the blinded by greed and powerlust actions of the bush regime, and they want to keep some fucking score while choking on the smoke of our history/legacy/essence, as it burrns around them.
FOOLS!

9. I am beginning to believe the democrats do not want to win in 2008. |
|
I know it sounds dumb but I just have this very uncomfortable feeling based on the way they are acting. Who the hell needs the aggravation of repairing the incredible damage to this country caused by the current bush crime family?

11. There were times I felt like that in 2004. |
|
I would scream at my TV, "There it is, Kerry! He dropped his defenses, fucking level him!" And Kerry would give him a pass.
It was frustrating.

Gore was Mr. Niceguy.
Sorry. I just had to say that. It's not that relevent. We've actually been sliding to the right a lot longer than either of these dates.
Someone said it here yesterday- we get the government we ask for. A nation of idiots gets a bumbling gang of crappy politicians. Or something like that.
