Prezbot Katrina Summer Tour: 2005
Edited on Mon Sep-12-05 11:58 PM by bluedawg12
Hey kids, is it odd that the leader of the free world, the premier superpower in a unipolar world, the man whose hero’s may have on occasion been cowboys, the wanted dead or alive tough guy, who disdains the words in books but likes the pictures, the NASCAR lovin’, war fightin,’ Mission Accomplished ...sort of...,I’m uniter not a divider, hero of the red -meat- eating, red states...our Preznit has turned into a guy who can’t sit still in Washington on his fema and lead the country and think, THINK, think!...about the problems and failures of his administration’s institutions?

You know, be the leader. Address the issues. Identify short comings with honesty, and actually propose a plan. Yes, a do’er who can be a thinker?

Or have the Repugnicant think tanks sprung a leak? Too busy planning for the New world order, they forgot to script this national disaster and forgot to give the man stirring lines to prepare and then “ad lib.”

60 Billion dollars spent on this national tragedy and shame- and only 2 weeks into it --and kajillions more to go- we turn on the telly and all we see is a tired man, in a pressed shirt, getting sweaty, sleeves rolled up but looking lost and not ready to sink his teeth into this complicated problem. What do we hear? A Prezbot feigning not to know that Brownie bailed, or was booted, who cares...hare kare comes to mind....and then he loopes, “ no blame game,” “We’ll have time for blame later,” “I am a problem solver...I am working...” Then, he starts the loop all over again. The man can’t sit still and do his work. At the very least we should stop the useless waste of jet fuel on the taxpayers ticket.

When the Democrat comes forward who can synthesize the fears, the frustrations, and the anger of the American people and turn it into a vision for a future that we deserve, that leader will smoke ‘em out of their hole.

So many complicated issues that beg for a real leader.

Education, poverty, human rights, a cogent and diplomatic foreign policy, the environment....the list just goes on.

Ya’ know gang, hurricane Cindy started it off and hurricane Katrina finished it off.

What do you think, is it time for a progressive change?

1. Progressive think tanks, some sites

http://www.lysistrataproject.org/progressive_think_tanks.htm

http://www.opednews.com/Kall%20if_wealthy_liberals_and_liberal_.htm
If Wealthy Liberals and Liberal Foundations Don't Fund Think Tanks to Take on the Right, then We Might as Well Throw in the Towel.

"Every day, as I cringe, observing the fleshing out of the BushCo / neocon vision for America-- the selling off of the environment, the de-regulation and selling off of the commons that we all should own and share, the erasure of centuries old freedoms and rights, the throwing away of long valued international relationship assets, I keep telling myself and anyone who will listen that the left desperately needs to take the think tank route that the right has been so successfully taking for decades.

While it may not have been screamingly obvious even two years ago, we now know that the right's think tank program must be recognized as the most powerful political weapon on the face of the earth, and more important, in the US."
