1. Halliburton's been getting no-bid contracts.
I think your answer lies partly in that fact.

2. What else is new? Halliburton has made way too much money
from disasters and their alliance with our "President"/and Government.

3. FOIA...And Then Wait Til Hell Freezes Over
I hope Josh Marshall is keeping an eye on things...or some other blogger.

We know Joe Albaugh is down there writting up the deals and probably his roomie Brownie will be there to assist.

The outrage here is that the defecit is being used like a credit card with no limit...billions are gonna be thrown into the region to shut people up and we'll pay for it later in higher taxes or interest rates or both.

This is being run by the same criminals who turned Baghdad into a Haliburton protectorate...and I suspect southern Louisiana will become the same.

5. There Are...But They Need To Be Suported
I'll throw a few names here...

Russ Feingold, Henry Waxman, Dennis Kucinich, John Conyers, Richard Durbin, Charlie Rangel.

Now the only thing that keeps these find people from really making a difference is Democratic control of the House & Senate. That's our job...and if we do it good enough...with a strong populist, progressive message...there may be some real change, not bluster.

Cheers...
