this a.m. Grassly used Katrina as reason for making Roberts Chief J.

on Wash. Journal

he was saying things like: at this time of disaster, Iraq, etc. that it was prudent to make Roberts Chief Justice.

the bushgang wanted him CJ before Katrina hit. did Grassly think we would forget that?

what one has to do with the other, is beyond me.

1. What the heck does Roberts have to do with reconstructing the Gulf, unless
they need him to, Oh, I dunno.. keep ** out of prison somehow, or make rulings that favor companies like Bechtel, Halliburton, and KBR?

C'mon Fitzy, we need those indictments!

2. I am calling his office right now
He is my senator.

I will tell him that Katrina response proves that Bush only appoints the underqualified.

I will be quite respectful. But I will be firm

Thanks for the heads up.

3. I can't call till tomorrow, but he will hear from me.
Sigh....I'm always calling that dork's office about some misguided out-of-touch comment he makes.

5. I'll forever think of Grassley as "Lawnmower Man" after that stupid
lawnmowing add he kept running here during his last campaign. For those of you who don't live in Iowa, it appears his biggest qualification for retaining his job was that he could lash 2 reel lawnmowers to his riding mower and mow his law with all 3 simultaneously. Explains a lot.
