Why it's better for us if GWB does not resign.
JMHO folks, don't rip my throat out.

1. Cheney's the new pres, obviously. This man said he would not run for pres in 08 -- but who's to say he'll stick to that?

2. Assuming Cheney doesn't run in his own right, the man (of course it'll be a man) he nominates as VP will have a pretty good foot in the door to getting the GOP nomination. Can you think of who those nominees might be? Jeb, for starters?

Just two items on my list of why it's better for us if * does not resign.

1. I don't think you have to worry (hope?)
Bush isn't going to resign. He's going to nominate another fanatic to the Supreme Court on Thursday. Are there any fascist judges down in Lousiana that could fit the bill?

5. If there are any LA fascist judges, they're not there right now --
they're up in Washington, being fêted with the rest of the GOP hurricane "survivors," waiting for their mansions to be rebuilt.

2. Cheney's already president.
If he tries to run in 2008, he won't get very far. The american people don't like him. His poll numbers are in the toilet and have been like that for a long time.

As to number 2, that could be a problem (him picking the VP).

7. In a normal, intelligent world, you'd be correct
But until we can GET BACK to honest voting, hell, Cheney could end up in the White House on a landslide. "The American people wouldn't stand for it," you say? Behold what we've taken so far.

3. I agree.
I hope the baboon's ass takes the whole ship down with him.

He is only going to continue to screw up and now that the sheep have their eyes opened, they will start to notice what we've been seeing all along.

Excellent post, BK.

9. IF there were any decent repubs left, he would be impeached
without any pardons and thrown into jail. He shouldn't even be allowed to resign. Since I know that will never happen I intend to make every repub that I come into contact with wear Bush**, his agenda, his fuckups, everything around their necks like a very heavy albatross.

Just my 2 cents.

11. you assume too much - that we can survive more years of Bush
I have serious doubts, unless some smarter GOPers see the light, and unless our Dems grow spine. and those testicular thingies, preferably out of brass or other heavy alloy.

18. Who is delusional enough to think Chimp is going to resign?
Seriously. You don't do what Chimp did to get there and then turn around and resign. He wouldn't resign if they had him on tape raping a dead child.
