Poll question: Will Bush resign on Thursday?
Edited on Tue Sep-13-05 02:37 PM by dolo amber
edit: I was just checking. There seemed to be a bit of madness about today. Just wanted to make sure not everyone's lost their minds. :hi:

AIN'T HAPPENIN', FOLKS. Period. Ever.

4. Huh?
I suppose it could be the greatest masterstroke of all time, but where is this idea coming from? Wouldn't it throw the country into relative mayhem? It would be hard, even in future revisions, to cast his presidency as courageous or honorable, even with a resignation. And the true believers' reality would be smashed.

Is anyone actually talking about this possibility?

15. ?
Why do you think that? It'd be AMAZING, but I would be so nervous as to what they had planned next, if they had to sacrafice their Golden Boy to get it...

Wouldn't it be nice to be free of him? Not effin' likely, tho. Besides, that would leave Darth Cheney in charge ... as if he's not already.

He won't leave until he's convicted, sentenced, and removed.

to write and rehearse the bullshit speech he'll make on Thursday.

The "responsibility" bit was a sound bite to appease the masses.

27. I missed the whole thing...Why would anyone think he's going to resign?
He hasn't destroyed social security yet, Iran and Syria have not been invaded, Medicaid and Medicare are still alive, and no one's drilling in the Arctic Preserve. Janice Rogers Brown isn't on the Supreme Court yet, and the rich folks are still being taxed!

He still has lots of work, hard, hard work to do.

30. Nope, his 'taking responsibility' is another Rove talking point
The ditto heads will say, "Gosh, see Bu$h is taking it like a man, you're forgiven buddy".

That's the way we Americans are. They forgive a sinner but hate a liar and a cheat, especially one's that get blowjobs from innocent young ladies.

Brown fell on his sword, thus all is forgiven, let's get back to work eh? Enough of slamming the leader of the free world.

Thats how this will go down.
