Bush is tardy again: first national speech on Katrina is 2+ weeks late |
|
The greatest natural disaster in modern US history occured over two weeks ago. The devastation of Hurricane Katrina will have even more far reaching consequences than the tragedy of 9/11 and Bush is only now going to address the American people in primetime. This is all just for political effect to save his presidency, of course. It has Rove written all over it. Yet the corporate media will fall all over it and talk about how much of a man the president is for taking on responsibility. Fine, after how many have died due in a great part to lack of leadership at the federal level.
Whatever Bush says Thursday night his "Brownie, you're doing a heck of a job" carries more weight with me of his true thinking.

1. Bush failed to act like a President and he failed to act like a |

human after Katrina. I saw no sense of urgency in his behavior, no concern for the American citizens who were suffering and dying needlessly. He failed to lead at a crucial time. His behvior is INEXCUSABLE!
