Just put my F the President sticker on my car.

Tie iron under the front seat.

Winds are cooling for DimSon, even here. Advise...

3. Do you have kids that will drive with you???
I live in Metro Detroit and there isn't a lot of confrontation here (over political paraphernalia), so I can't gage.

10. Hey
Is it just me, or are "our" right wing wackos a lot less aggressive than the ones others (here) face?

13. I think you're right
IMO the only GOP strong holds here lately, are the morons in Birmingham and Bloomfield Hills (maybe some in Troy and Rochester Hills) I think other than pockets of Oakland County no one likes bushit.

6. watch out for a concealed weapon charge
If you get pulled over with that sticker, having a concealed weapon is felony.

Do it right, get your ccw and carry a pistol (if you feel the need to carry a weapon that is)

8. how could a fucking tire iron under the seat
count as a concealed weapon??

Officer, as a woman, you never know when that tire's gonna go flat!
Hell -- I work at a construction site and have a 4" nail and receipt to prove it, just from last month!

No kids, just me. Not to worry.

19. That might work at trial
Edited on Tue Sep-13-05 10:00 PM by Fescue4u
maybe. maybe not. Should be a fun time for all involved regardless of the verdict I guess. Id think twice about asking for a Jury trial in that area though, its not a very blue area you know. But then again, your lawyer that you'll end up paying at $10 to $20k will be able to help with that decision.

Folks I know keep their tire irons in the trunk.

Of course if one HAD to use that tire iron for defense (as CLEARLY you have in mind), you would have a damn hard time explaining that the tire iron you wacked upside someones head wasnt a weapon.

Cops aren't stupid, but they do have biases and prejudices.

Have fun rolling the dice with your freedom.

7. Is it true that the cheap labor cons in your area snack on paint chips,
have protruding foreheads, and very few teeth in their mouths?

12. I live in Mason, OH (Warren County)...
Edited on Tue Sep-13-05 08:28 PM by rexcat
and rotate my anti-Bush* and anti-repukian bumper stickers on my car. They are on magnets. To date I have been flipped off, yelled at and tailgated but no one has tried to attack me yet.

Good luck!

on edit: I am supposed to take the stickers off the car when the kids are in the car.

15. Geez.....
You live right in the Lion's Den. Good luck to you!!! I'm glad I live in a less-intense-politically area of Ohio (north central Ohio).

Here in rural Erie County, things aren't what you might expect them to be. Erie County has 2 republican commissioners and 1 democratic commissioner. But......my county also had a majority vote for John Kerry in 2004, Al Gore in 2000, and both times Clinton ran. My township is the smallest (population-wise) in the entire county; it's like 90% farmland. Yet 2 of the 3 township trustees are Democrat, as is the township clerk. But where I live (on the county line basically) I have a Norwalk, Ohio address (which is in moderate-to-republican Huron County. Huron County had a majority vote for Bush in both 2000 and 2004, but was pro-Clinton during his elections. Norwalk has had a democrat for mayor for decades (with the exception of a few years).

Anyway, that's enough babbling. I guess what I'm trying to get across is that my part of the state is more pro-democratic than some may perceive. I think it's interesting learning about local politics and voting patterns; so if anyone else has some info like that, I'd love to hear.

But back to the original point, Warren County/suburban Sinsinnati is die-hard Red (maybe even suffocatingly red). Display your bumper sticker with pride!

I still gotta get me an anti-Bush sticker or magnet and slap it right next to the "Support Our Troops" magnet!

21. I use the magnetic vent covers for the backing of...
my bumper stickers. You can get them at Home Depot or Lowes. I can get two or three stickers on a vent cover and then cut them out with a pair of scissors.

Warren County is extremely red. Repukians are about 88% of the voters. There are some Democrats who are registered as repukians so it gives them a chance to vote for the lesser of the evil candidates because no Democrats have ever won in this county (township, municipal, county or state) as long as we have lived here (18 years) and I am sure for much longer than that!

Usually during primary voting the only thing registered Democrats can vote for are school levies and other non-partisan issues. I do have fun with the repukians running for office who drop by the house. I give them an ear full and inform them that they are trespassing and they need to remove themselves from my property before I call the police.

14. You have The Beast, Son of Beast, The Racer,
and some other terrific roller coasters at your doorstep. Although I LOVE riding The Beast, I'm not a big fan of Kings Island. I'm glad I live in blue state/blue county NY, with or without great wooden roller coasters nearby.

17. Maybe head out to Cleveland or Youngstown
Edited on Tue Sep-13-05 09:02 PM by Marie26
I'm from Youngstown, OH, and I can tell you you'd probably be treated like a hero! People there routinely bash Bush - it's a sort of local pastime. It's weird how divided Ohio is - growing up in northern Ohio, I didn't even know a Republican till I went to college. Such a wonderful, sheltered life. :)

P.S. - Don't forget Cedar Point!

18. Put a Bengals sticker next to it
Give the chest-beaters a moment of conflict and it might deflect the lunacy.

20. I live in Dayton
and have a "Bush Lies" sticker as well as a "God is not a republican" sticker on my car and I've only had problems when Ive been in Cinci. I've had people hanging out of their windows screaming at me there.

By the way, I'm looking for someone from the area to carpool to the Sept 24th march with if you're interested.
