Unidentified Senator: Mr. Roberts, do you love your family?

Mr. Roberts (Nominee): Senator, I would like to answer that question, but I cannot comment on cases that might come before the court.

Unidentified Senator: Mr. Roberts, are you wearing the color black today?

Mr. Roberts: Senator, I cannot comment on cases which might be on the court's docket.

Unidentified Senator: Mr. Roberts, is it raining outside?

Mr. Roberts: Well Senator, as I've explained....

Approximately 5: 30 PM EST- Americans everywhere wonder what purpose today's hearings served.
